Hide & Seek: The Mapping of Art.

The Story "He is following after me, what should I do...?" "He is staring at me by the door for a long time, but I have nowhere to go..." "Just can't speak now, I speak without the voice." "I'm lost while I'm thinking." "Please HELP." Wish this could be a game ,but it's my story.

Finding Myself Use my favorite architectural elements to create new spaces. Especially choose western materials, because the form of overlapped spaces is more significant, and most of them are irregular geometric shapes.

Grasshopper can be a script to descript a picture. From area tramsform into lines. The line is a way for me to escape. The lines can build my world.

The architectural elements organize the space I imagined for hiding, with these eight as a space group constitutes six ways of hiding and running ,collected collage pieces together to creat the loop of horror that was never getting over. According to this collage mist, there are 32 hidden space prototypes which have been developed. C 1

/The object, the chair, which is in the front. That is my innerthought. When I sit in this chair, the objects behind are carrying nervous constantly in the background. /When I was in fear and trembling, I ran away. In my own world, a playground was built by these linear structures that I could release my mind to my heart's content here. /At this moment, I am standing on this platform.Even if I am the only person in my world, I can still feel that someone has been staring at me from a height for a long time. /The nervous mood is like the product, which I can't help being produced in the factory ,my brain. /These huge volumes began to stack, in which were built my path of hiding and escaping. I don't want to be found, just want to hide from everything. 25

Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is caused by many accidents and after experiencing major or minor injuries. All of us hope that we can stay out of haze of pain. Not everyone is lucky, though. Some people are suffering from insomnia, nightmares, anxiety and panic chronically. At that time, so am I. I was feeling in the pain of these traumas constantly of the same nightmare. Both of self-blaming and fearful made me avoiding any events which related to, and only falling into the black hole of self-fear.I was considering about how to disappear from this world for being truly liberated every day . This is a story about being stalking seven years ago, which is like an several- year-long hide and seek. I was mumbling at the beginning,‘till building a language of my communication through arts. I design the architecture and games which is trying to create a space that can heal myself or others, and confess a path of healing.

Hide & Seek The Mapping of Art. 1.There are five kinds of model with color, including black, pink, purple ,gray and white. Each of them represents the path that can be built in continuous line, or an enclosed space. 2.Every faces of the model can be used. 3.Once the one of players connect his/her path to his/her own final space, the game ends.

[purple path] 1.Paths of Hider 2.It can lead to the pink space and block the gray path.

36

[black space] 1. Spaces of seeker 2. Only the gray paths can access to the black spaces. 3. The black spaces can't be placed around the pink one.

Path

This is an old city.which was build from Japanese occupation until now. The things that build were paths. However ,they are kept and lead to the context levels change with the urban planning. Last but not least ,these context made the site as a bridge for the city and the nature.

Because of the urban planning ,it lets the site become the edge.In the meanwhile, it would be created this little city in the city. 7 Exhibition Hall Mine exhibition. 8 Feeling Wall Identify the hidden entrance. 9 Experience Hall Mine experience.

/Sectional Perspective

The main space in this case ,the lighting theater, which is the theme of mine. The scale of the theater is more narrow than general. Created the vibe in the mine pit. In the meanwhile, this is a gallery to the reading sound theater and the exhibition room is next to it with a small door that would be more fit in teens' sapce scale. Last but not least, this space is the darkest space here ,so it created the light on the side of top that can guide the way to next space. /Glass Pavilion This is a transparent space ,around with four glass walls. Not only an entrance for the people that walk from the side path in the park ,but also is a bridge which can conncet the experience from park to the main center. A transparent space can live inside with the nature environment in the same time. Glass Pavilion supplies center tour and has a rest space for visitors.

/Dawn Deer, always been the animal that I like very much. It’s not only symbolized the prudence of self-protection but the meaning of "wisdom".The plants and animals under the ocean, some of them are the system which organize nurtures and regulates in the ecology. I combined the plants with the image of a deer.Imagined a moment at a beautiful time, dawn, which could let them shine and glory.

/No. 0-2 Sculpture, day and night. The two circles in the sculpture which are the sun and the moon. They create the day and night alternately, even they can’t meet each other forever, but play the most perfect themselves. The moon comes up from the side of the mountain and the sun sets from the ocean. /No. 0-3 Sculpture, drifting. Both of physical or chemical reactions that occur in nature which can’t be described by humans. I don’t even know that such the flawless pattern will be created.

/Green Reef Every year between February and May, Laomei in Taiwan’s north coast attracts me to capture this truly unique coastal feature.

There is one thing I always try and keep in mind which is art is in design.
