About me Claudia Sinosich
My experience in the world of design began when I enrolled to the Product Design Bachelor degree 4 years ago. I chose this path because I believe that design is a social subject that needs artistic and technical skills. A good designer must be empathic, because he/she must understand the true needs of his user; he/she must be creative in solving the problems that have emerged and finally, he/she must have the technical skills to realize his/her ideas. Then, there are other features required outside the creation of the project: it must know how to present it in a clear, synthetic and graphic manner and above all it must know how to work in a team. It is therefore a multifaceted figure who nevertheless is suitable to my personality. If the Bachelor Degree was closer to my qualities, the Post-Graduate Degree in Product Service System Design helped me to achieve my aspirations. I have always wanted to contribute to the design of the future society and Service Design is increasingly asserting itself in this field, working on social, digital and corporate innovation. My goal as a service designer is therefore to bring my method and my skills into companies or studios to create innovation. Starting from the lowest level of innovation, I can work on Service Design Interaction focusing on UI / UX, on Service Design Intervention, trying to intervene on the customer and company experience and finally on the Organizational Transformation by modifying the process and the company organization .

WOM
Boost the Word Of Mouth During the course of Product Service System Design Studio I had the opportunity to realize with my team a project for Human Resources, in particular for the recruitment phase. Thus, we design WOM. The WOM is a new public referral platform that aims to optimize the word of mouth chain, linking companies and candidates through motivated and trusted individuals and industrial specialists. Moreover, the candidate’s profile highlights his/her soft and hard skills and an academy system helps the candidate improve how he/she express him/herself during the interview. Co-design session To design WOM we managed a co-design session to understand exactly the needs of the user and open a collaboration to improve the service. Two different co-design sessions were conducted: the first with two HR of small / medium companies, the second with five candidates. It was one of the first experiences of co-design that I had the chance to lead and it led to excellent results. The construction of boundaries objects allowed the interviewees to interact directly with the prototype of our service and to act easly new hypothetical situations to understand how to improve the user experience costumer and individual criticalities and strengths. My City Collection Fashion Retail Analysis and Development In the course of Business Innovation we analyzed the cases of Fashion Retail and we focused on & Other Stories retail. Our goal was to change the meaning of the in-store experience from “the shop inspires me” to “I inspire the store”. My City Collection therefore proposes not to use models to show collections and outfits, but customers themselves have the opportunity to match the clothes in the store, be photographed on our stand and share their own unique and personal style. Furthermore, since & Other Stories offers collections relating to a different city, we offered also to the client the opportunity to participate in a workshop in which he/she can, accompanied by designers and stylists, can design and participate in the collection of his/her own city by removing stereotypes and designing unique and personal collection. LBC Living Building Challenge In June 2019 I partecipated in a one week workshop about Smart City Milano. The challenge of my team was to spread LBC values on Milanese citizens. The Living Building Challenge (LBC) is one of the most rigorous benchmarks of sustainability in the built environment industry. Yet, it is not widely adopted. LBC evaluates Equily, Materials, Energy, Health and Happiness, Place, Water and Beauty of each building and it is very difficult to satisfy all the parameters and obtain the certification. My team has therefore decided to change the certification making accessible to all citizens through the app. Then, we intervened on four elements: 1. With the advertising of the service itself we create more awareness 2. Through the app we allow to improve the sustainability of buildings starting from the individual apartments. The app also provide a rapid evaluation of the apartment and constant support on how to improve through tips. 3. Validation is very important to understand if the inhabitants of the building or apartment are actually satisfied with the tips and if they perceive a real change. 4. Since we believe that rewarding each small step helps the individual to increase his knowledge about the impact, we reward every steps with discounts at eco-sustainable services. Smart Mobility Box Hackathlon x Vodafone 5G In the 2019 I joined in the hackthon launched by Vodafone to develop 5G technology for Smart City Milano. The oppurtunity was great and in two days we design a new concept to improve the car sharing system. Our mission was to reduce private cars and get better the efficiency of sharing mobility. As a consequence, we wanted to reduce the polluted air that is a big issue in the city of Milan. To do that, we created the sharing mobility box that gives the opportunity to track the park slots throughout a camera system placed inside the car. The camera records streaming videos of Milan’s streets and it tracks the parking area. 5G is necessary because it can transmit huge quantity of data and it has a high quality image recongnition. Our box is customizable for any new and existed sharing mobility services. Our data could be also sold to public adminstration to control congestions. Brand identity and collaboration with Freeda
We select Freeda as brand because it has our same value as sisterhood and women achievements. We got inspiration from Freeda website which consists of moon, galaxy and female astronauts. The universe is infinite, detected by human in the recent several decades. In our mind, Space is full of energy that human can barely reach. We want to show our concept that girls have energy to “reach and run in the space as long as they trust themselves and make their achievements.

Amarcord Half Memory, Half Continued In the course of Visualization and Prototyping my team and I had to transform a Black Mirror episode into a “Light” Mirror. Our episode was “The Entire History Story of You” and we turned it into an Amarcord. Professors asked us to create an immersive experience to present our service. Therefore we made two videos and a performance that was shown in class. Amarcord is a service for the elderly that offers the possibility of sharing their memories with parents and friends. Every session takes place at the Amarcord Social Center, a structure that looks like a cinema and has all the necessary technology to access and re-live the memories recorded through the person’s Grain. The users are only able to access the Grain at the Amarcord Social Center. The elderly are invited to participate only after receiving the letter to participate. Riabitare Urban Project in Gratosoglio Riabitare is a volunteer project that I carried out in 2019. It is a workshop sponsored by the Municipality of Milan and designed by the Association Fare Assieme. The project consisted in the regeneration of four places in the suburb of Gratosoglio through different types of intervention. The goal was to rebuild a community within the neighborhood and raise awareness about consumption and recycling. To do this, we used recycled material to design installations and two squares were repainted with the inhabitants of the neighborhood to create play areas for children and relax areas for elderly and families. The final day of the workshop we launched an event in which we invited several associations to speak, and we organized games, yoga classes, theater performances and philosophical and literary debates. Alcantara Consultancy for Archive Website In 2018 I started a collaboration with the Alcantara S.p.A supported by my professor Mario Bisson. The consultancy concerned the design of Alcantara photos archive on excel. My proposal was to move this in open source archive to make archiving more accessible and faster. The idea was accepted and then I designed the mockup and the graphics of the platform. In the next stage we analyzed the possible future scenarios. First, we proposed to design an actual “Alcantara Experience” combining photos, videos, installation and materials and second, to make the archive accessible to the customer via the App in order to access to the fascinating history of Alcantara’s material. Outcomes: Online Archive Mock-up Retail Experience

Dot
Fashion Accessories At the end of the Bachelor I attended the course of Synthesis in which I designed my final thesis product. In the course we collaborated with the OpsObjects company that deals mainly with fashion accessories and jewelery. The brief asked not to use technology, to make an inexpensive jewel and to work mainly on shape and material. Thus, I designed Dot, a bracelet bag with a modular handle that individually becomes a bracelet. The bag is small and compact, suitable for evenings and is designed to be worn in different ways to be practical. Dot has a collection of colors and Alcantara materials that allows the users to customize it. Outcomes: 3D Model Prototype Shooting
