SCHEDULE OF ACTIV I T I ES Day 0 – Arrival of Participants Day 1 – Orientation and training on the different survey methods • Line Transect Method • Photo-identification using dorsal fin images • Presentation of the project objectives • Identification of cetaceans • Discussion on house rules and what to expect during the survey Overnight in Baclayon Day 2 – Continuation of the training (half day only) Afternoon will be devoted to preparation for the survey and attending to personal necessities. Whole team will sleep on the boat already. Day 3 – Survey Proper #1 Sleep overnight onboard Day 4 – Survey Proper #2 Dock in Baclayon. Re-fuel and refill water and foodstuffs. Sleep overnight onboard. Day 5 – Survey Proper #3 Sleep overnight onboard Day 6 – Survey Proper #4 Dock in Baclayon. Re-fuel and refill water and foodstuffs. Sleep overnight onboard. Day 7 – Survey Proper #5 Sleep overnight onboard Day 8 – Survey Proper #6 Dock in Baclayon. Refuel and refill water and foodstuffs. Overnight in Baclayon Day 9 – Data sorting and Analysis Cataloging of digital images collected for photo-identification of individuals Presentation of preliminary data collected Overnight in Bacalyon
