Happy February! I can’t believe we are already two months in to 2021. Hopefully you all had a great start to the year, and if not, I hope it gets better. Key Club has really built a foundation for not only service projects, but socially as well. If you ever need someone to talk to please don’t hesitate to reach out :)

January was filled with service opportunities and I am extremely impressed with your hardwork and dedication. This month we have 4+ service opportunities, a social service event, and a bake sale! You can find all the sign up information within the QR codes spaced throughout the newsletter.

I am super excited for you guys to see what we have in store for you for the rest of the term! Check out the February calender and try to “spot the difference” on page 16. Enjoy the February newsletter!

Stay Safe,

I hope you’ve had a great start to your second semester! I feel like second semester has been easier to start off with than first semester and hopefully it’s the same for you guys. Just make sure to take care of yourself! Especially now that we’re all distanced from each other :(. But a great way to start on that self care journey is purchasing a self-care Valentine treat to support the Pediatric Trauma Program (PTP) and begin that self-care ;)

Also, I’d like to congratulate all the members who were recognized by the Member Recognition Program (MRP)on the district level! We had a large amount of members qualify and I’m super proud of us. This year has definitely been our strongest year as a club and this year (for the first time!) Carlmont Key Club applied for the Club of the Year Award on the division and district level! We were able to do this because of all of your hard work, dedication, and passion to service. We appreciate all of you and everything you do so much!

And with the new Key Club term beginning, it’s super super important that everyone attends our club officer elections. You will be electing a new team of officers to lead you in service for the 2021-2022 school year and it’s crucial that you use your voice to vote! Elections are during a Wednesday club meeting on February 10th and the 11th (at 5pm) so make sure to stop by to listen to speeches, ask questions, and cast your vote :D

I hope to see you all soon, Ashley Zheng
