The architecture design thesis aims to research upon the vernacular architecture of handloom weavers in Maheshwar which depicts a unique and interesting amalgamation of working and living environments thereby giving rise to a distinct architectural language inspired by the socio-cultural factors. The thesis aims to design and develop a model village for the handloom weavers along with their social spaces. The design also sheds light upon social infrastructure as a necessary addition to any settlement thus connecting the past and the future of India's handloom weavers and their contemporary vernacular co-working environments.
