The hand is a mini collection of 5 pieces I made as a study of how hands are important tools for getting dressed. The pieces were made out of a lot of buttons and systems which request hand gestures such as tying, pulling, tightening etc...

che Manifesto / 2019 Le M o e collaboration of Marco Sim h t h ao t wi & Brocki Lignon This mini collection of Garments / objects is lead by a Manifesto for Ugliness that I wrote while working with old / stained / ripped and dirt cloth / fabrics. I had the chance to collaborate with Brocki (Lignon-Gemeva), a charity/thrift shop based in switzerland. They offered me to sponspor the project by allowed me to take whatever fabrics I needed in the store. In return, I had to mention and advertize them as much as possible everywhere around me.

I wanted Marco to perform with all the garments / objects as a getting dress / de-dress process. That’s why I only used half shape : a half dress, a half suit etc... with which you can create a silhouette by knotting / tying them together. Like a choreography, Marco dressed and de-dressed himself. He also dressed up someone in the public, as well as wood structures around us.

The Face Shop / 2019 HEAD / Geneva
In this project, I created my own vision of the cosmetic rituals, make up and other extensions and artifices we perform every day on our body The fabrics and leather sculptures are an extension of terms like : silky skin, matt, shiny, smooth, voluptuous, and other texture terms you can find in the cosmetic vocabulary. You can also find re-worked brushes made out of wood and fake hairs. As they are curved, they are not really efficient as make up brushes. I also created fake mini make up kits out of silicon and pigments.
