laremont Prep is Lower Manhattan’s first ongoing independent school.
Founded in 2005, it added its High School in 2009. In 2010 the Middle and High Schools moved into a state-of-the-art facility at One Morris Street, just two blocks west of the Broad Street Lower School campus. Grounded and growing, Claremont prepares students for lives of higher learning and active civic engagement.

laremont’s Afterschool Program (CAP) provides rich opportunities for students

Claremont Summer Camp attracts students from all over Manhattan and is a full six-week program. In CAP and Camp, just as in school, students learn through direct experience and positive interaction with classmates. Middle and High School students use their after school time to compete in team sports, such as basketball and swimming, or engage in pursuits like community service, ďŹ lmmaking, photography, musical theater and jazz band.
