Guided by intellectual curiosity and a desire to learn from the very best, the incoming Class of 2025 is ready to expand on its stellar list of accomplishments while at Claremont McKenna College. Our latest group of eager and engaged applicants represents 30 states and 22 countries. They join an impressive lineage of CMC students who strive for balance academically, athletically, professionally, and socially—all while adding diverse backgrounds, voices, and ideas to our unique interdisciplinary liberal arts ethos.

MEET THE CLASS Here’s a glimpse at how some talented members of the Class of 2025 plan to make their mark at CMC:
Antonio Melendez

Academic interests: Economics, finance, Latin Proudest accomplishment: The film I created, "My Beau Idéal," was accepted into the All American High School Film Festival in New York City. Goals at CMC: I want to become a Robert Day Scholar and be part of the Student Investment Fund. I also want to study abroad in Barcelona, Spain and take advantage of every opportunity that CMC provides, hopefully leading to internships and connecting with alumni.
Proudest accomplishment: Co-founding a charity organization that raised tuition for disenfranchised children in our community. Goals at CMC: To lead a life that is mentally, physically, and emotionally fulfilling. I want to fully utilize all the resources that will help me grow into the female African leader I want to be.

Honors and activities: Battalion Commander of the Rapid City Central JROTC battalion; YouthVIP leader; QuestBridge Scholar Academic interests: Physics, philosophy, politics, German Proudest accomplishment: Leading school activities and a community outreach program. I am grateful for the opportunities to have an impact on youth under my leadership and will always remember how amazing it was to watch them blossom. Goals at CMC: I’d like to study in Germany. I especially want to expose myself to new people, subjects, places, cultures, and experiences in order to discover ways to put my current interests to positive use.
