Partridge String Quartet The Partridge Quartet is a Melbourne-based ensemble established at the Australian National Academy of Music (ANAM) in 2016. The quartet has recently received national recognition through its successes as recipients of the Musica Viva Chamber Music Prize (2017) and first prize in the prestigious ANAM Chamber Music Competition (2018). In 2018, they were selected as one of 10 string quartets world-wide for a 3-week string quartet residency program at the Banff Centre of Arts and Creativity in Canada. In 2019 they were joint winners of the inaugural Queensland International Chamber Music Competition hosted by Ensemble Q.

Johannes Moller Guitar Since 2018 Johannes Moller has been the Ambassador of ZhengAn Guitar in China, which is the largest investment of it's kind in Guitar history. ZhengAn is a city in Guizhou which have made guitar manufacturing and guitar culture its main priority. The city has encouraged hundreds of guitar manufacturing companies to set up their production there. Currently about five million guitars are produced there every year. Currently a concert hall dedicated to guitar as well as a guitar museum and a 99 meter guitar tower is under construction. We welcome Johannes back to Grafton for his second appearance as part of the CVCon Visiting Artists Series

Ian Cooper Violin Ian Cooper is Australia’s most exciting virtuoso violinist. He is a regular attraction at concert venues and festivals throughout Australia, Europe, Japan and New Zealand, and his dynamic and humorous show draws on many musical styles from The Classics, Jazz, Gypsy, Latin, Irish, the Blues and even a touch of Cowboy music. Ian returns to the Clarence Valley for this special performance accompanied by a quartet of extraordinary musicians.

Lachy Hamilton Jazz at the Con After a fantastic Jazz night in 2019 we are excited to have Lachy Hamilton and his trio as part of the 2020 Visiting Artists Series. Playing a mix of familiar compositions as well as Lachy's own compositions the trio will deliver a fantastic evening's entertainment. Featuring guest performances from CVCon students this is sure to be a highlight of the 2020 series.

Taikoz 4Tet Live! Presented in two 45-minute parts, »Taikoz 4tet Live!« is an exciting program that begins with Waves – Ian Cleworth’s mesmerising, virtuosic 2-tone slung-drum solo – and continues to burn in energy until the uplifting finale - Joe Small’s choreographic drumming spectacle, Propel. From the small, high-pitched shimedaiko to the deep bass tones of the odaiko, Taikoz’s taiko combine with soulful singing and spirited movement to create a varied and entertaining concert suitable for all ages.
