Concert One: Acacia Quartet

Friday 18 June, 7pm

In eight years Acacia Quartet has won great respect for their versatile and inventive programs which couple established repertoire with the unorthodox. We are pleased to welcome them back to the Clarence Valley, and to the chamber music festival, where they will once again wow us with their brilliance and musicality.

Concert Two: Festival Concert

Saturday 19 June, 2pm Join us for a unique concert featuring the 3 visiting chamber music groups, the CVCon’s Strings‘n’Things and Coffs Harbour Conservatorium’s Academy. The Academy and Strings‘n’Things will open the concert before sharing the stage with some of Australia’s finest musicians for a celebration of music.

Festival Dinner

Saturday 19 June, 5pm - 7pm Join the musicians of the festival and indulge in a two course meal prepared in the award winning restaurant. Enjoy a sumptuous meal of chicken or lamb followed by a delicious desert. A cash bar will be in operation. All dietary requirements will be catered for - please indicate any requirements when making the booking. All bookings to be made via the Conservatorium. 5:00pm - 7:00pm $50 per person Bookings essential


Concert Three: Sirius Chamber Ensemble Saturday 19 June, 7pm

Formed in 2011, Sirius Chamber Ensemble is a mixed ensemble of winds, strings and piano. The ensemble performs music from the classical to contemporary periods in a friendly and accessible atmosphere, and regularly features programmes of music showcasing the music of local composers. Recent collaborations include Blush Opera (Fancy Me Dead, Bondi Feast) and the album Flying with composer and saxophonist Spike Mason. The ensemble’s name resonates with the history of Sydney as it refers to the name of the flagship of the First Fleet, the H.M.S Sirius. Concert Four: Streeton Trio

Sunday 20 June, 1pm Described by Musica Viva as “Australia’s most internationally successful piano trio,” the Streeton Trio was formed in 2008, in Geneva, Switzerland, from three young Australian musicians. In 2010, the trio was selected to be a part of the prestigious European Chamber Music Academy, where it was in residence for three years. Now based in Sydney, the trio has studied intensively with the world's leading chamber musicians and has performed extensively all over the world.
