Term 4 2020 It has been quite a year for everyone - and we can only hope that 2021 will be much more 'normal'. My sincere thanks go to the staff of the Conservatorium who have adapted to every change quickly and who continue to deliver first rate music and drama education to the Clarence Valley. Congratulations to all students who completed HSC music exams recently, and a special mention to Jackson and Eden who have received 'Encore' nominations. Best Wishes to all those students who are undertaking AMEB exams over the next few weeks. Adam Wills, Director

News from the Conservatorium Scholarships 2021 Application forms for Music and Drama Scholarships 2021 are now available. Scholarships are available for both music and drama students, and are awarded to students who are advanced, and to students who demonstrate potential and commitment. Scholarships are also available for ensemble students. Closing date for applications is Friday, 30 October. Drama Scholarship auditions will be held on Friday 13 November, and Music Scholarship auditions will be held on Saturday 14 November. Student Reports During this term we will once again be providing feedback to parents and students through Student Reports. We believe that the report is an important part of the learning process and one that will help parents and students track their progress during their time with us.


St Cecilia's Day at the Con The teachers of the Conservatorium take to the stage to honour the Patroness Saint of musicians. Come along and see the wonderful musicians and actors we have here on the teaching staff at the Conservatorium. Performances will include a variety of solos and duets from CVCon teachers and guests. The concert will be staged in accordance with the CVCon Covid Plan and will include limited audience numbers.

Term 4 Kidzjam (2-5 years)

Led by Mel Smith the CVCon Early Childhood Music program provides children with an opportunity to discover, learn and have fun. The program enables a development of a musical appreciation through vocal, instrumental and aural activities. Kidzjam creates an enjoyable musical experience for both children and carers. Each week activities will be focused on a different musical subject which enables them to hear, see and play a variety of different musical instruments.
