SUMMERS END: 2-Day Music Event Coming to Clarksville!

By: Christina Chittenden

Summers End is a two-day music event that takes place at Wicked Good Sandwiches on September 14th & 15th, 2019. On Saturday, September 14th, the event will be much like a regular night show to kick off the event, hosting four artists on the indoor stage. On Sunday, they will host 25+ artists performing on two stages (indoor & outdoor). This day will also feature a vendor marketplace, showcasing products and services from local businesses. All ages are welcome and kids 10 and under are FREE.

The concert is excited to feature the famous Regi Wooten as this year’s headliner. Regi’s music career began at the age of five, when he and his brothers, Roy and Rudy, were pulled on stage to dance with James Brown. When Regi was nine, he started teaching his younger brother, Victor, how to play the bass and his other brother, Joseph, to play the keyboards. Immediately, the Wooten Brothers Band was formed featuring Regi on the ukulele, Roy on drums, Rudy on saxophone, Joe on keys and Victor on the bass. At that time, Regi was 10, Roy 9, Rudy 8, Joseph 5 and Victor only 2 years old. The rest, as they say, is musical history.
