LIBRARIAN I POSITION The General Library at the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez seeks a creative, innovative, and service-oriented individual to fill a full-time tenure-track LIBRARIAN I POSITION. The successful candidate must be bilingual (Spanish/English) with a Master’s Degree in Library, Information Science or Archives (MLS, MIS, MLIS) from an American Library Association (ALA)-accredited program. Preferably, the candidate should have experience helping researchers with scholarly communication issues, data management, and developing information literacy skills. ISLAND LITHO CORP seeks a METAL COAT SPECIALIST For work to be conducted in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. The incumbent must posses 36 months of experience. The duties of the position include: Ensure the delivery of the metal coils are received and logged correctly for the different type of plate, that being of end or body plate. Ensure correct cutting of the body coil plate to different sheet size specifications. Ensure the cutting of coil end plate to different sheet size specification using the correct die sets in the Littell equipment. Monitoring sheet thickness, straightness and waviness. Use different dies according to sheet specifications. Work with Coating Process to Prevent Corrosion inside and outside of the can. Ensure that all metal sheets are trimmed from the Littell trimming equipment and have protective coatings applied to the inner and outer sides of the metal sheets. Apply protective coating to the metal sheets by using an applicator roller which receives the applied film weights by means of an anilox film weight system. Determine the correct film weights according to manufacturer’s specifications and the coating machines anilox roller. Determine the different designs from the anilox roller and different film weights to conform to specification. Apply coating to the sheets wet and dry through a curing ovens. Transfers images onto white coated sheets. Monitoring of colors and the position, register system of the press. Pass sheets through Ibea Register Inspection Unit to monitors the position of the registration system. Caliber the Ibea system in accordance to the margins and all body sizes require Ibea set up. Apply all coating to the metal sheets and monitor for viscosity, film weights, scratch test, friction test and compact testing. All tested sheets must be logged and recorded for quality purposes. Pass all wet coated sheets through drying / curing process in wicket oven / tunnel. Determine oven temperature depending on coating and keep records. Experience working in food industry preferably in 3 piece can manufacture. Experience working with following equipments: Littell Trimming Line, KBA Curing Oven, Crabtree F-1 Coating Machine, KBA 470 Coating Machine, John Travis Anilox Film Weight Control System, Crabtree Anilox Film Weight Control Systems and IBEA .
