Popular, Inc. has one position available in San Juan, Puerto Rico, for a Customer Research & Insights Lead. We are seeking candidates with a bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering and 24 months of experience in coaching teams on human-centered design/design thinking topics, conducting qualitative research, synthesis and facilitating workshops in a corporate setting. Candidates must also have formal education on: Design Thinking, Platform Design Management and Strategic Leadership and must have the Design Sprint Masterclass Certificate.
The Customer Research & Insights Lead’s main duties are: apply divergent human-centered design techniques that support cross-functional teams to develop innovative design concepts for products and services; ensure the customer perspective is a guiding principle throughout the progress of the project; design and facilitate hands-on work sessions (including but not limited to strategic alignment, problem framing, solution ideation, synthesis, prototyping, and testing); lead ethnographic research as well as testing, to understand the customer’s needs, goals, motivations, behaviors, and pain points; analyze research results and develop actionable insights; translate innovative concepts to a set of tangible prototypes of digital or physical products and services in collaboration with business, technology, and other relevant stakeholders; iterate designs products and services, by testing with users and refining; translate and communicate opportunities, insights, designs, and other concepts to a wide variety of stakeholders, including senior management, using techniques such as prototypes, personas, journey maps, process maps, and wireframes; align with technology and business stakeholders to identify and estimate the complexity of the opportunities as well as understand the operating model and capabilities needed to deliver solutions; coach and mentor teams, and identify and provide visibility to organizational obstacles to promote the evolution of human-centered design practices in high-priority strategic initiatives.
