HÁBITAT 2019 CAPITAL DEL DISEÑO. VALENCIA CELEBRA SU RECIENTE NOMBRAMIENTO COMO CAPITAL MUNDIAL DEL DISEÑO CON LA MAYOR EDICIÓN DE LOS ÚLTIMOS AÑOS DE FERIA HÁBITAT VALENCIA.
La cita del mueble, decoración e iluminación acoge una oferta de 503 firmas y marcas internacionales, lo que supone un incremento del 21% respecto a la edición anterior. Hábitat, además, crece de forma exponencial en cuanto a la superficie expositiva, con un incremento del 45% en metros cuadrados brutos hasta alcanzar los 65.000 m2. La Feria, además, ha consolidado su representatividad estatal y repercusión internacional. Así, del total de firmas y marcas participantes, un total del 36% son de la Comunitat Valenciana (28% más que el año pasado) mientras que un 40% proceden del resto del país, en un crecimiento registrado del 12% respecto el año pasado. Destaca, en este sentido, el fuerte incremento de la oferta de firmas y marcas extranjeras, que alcanzan ya el 24% del escaparate total de Hábitat 2019 con un crecimiento del 53% respecto a la cita del año pasado. Se trata de firmas de alto nivel procedentes de Alemania, Bélgica, China, España, Francia, Italia, Polonia, Portugal, Reino Unido, República Checa, Rumanía y Turquía. 30 CLASS & VILLAS

Así, según las estadísticas del Observatorio Español del Mercado del Mueble del Instituto Tecnológico AIDIMME, la producción de mobiliario en España alcanzó en 2018 los 4.483 millones de euros, un 2’7% más que el año anterior.

El cocinero, David Domingo, y su ayudante, Mary Santos, muy emocionados tras conocer el veredicto, han conseguido el reconocimiento del jurado formado en esta ocasión por el chef Alejandro del Toro, en representación de Turismo Valencia; Núria Sanz, de la Asociación de Restaurantes de Valencia; Antonio Crespo, director del Centro de Turismo de Alicante, en representación del Secretario Autonómico de Turismo; Elena Casado, bloguera gastronómica de Sueca; Francisco Javier Gutiérrez Hurtado, director de Restauración en el Congreso de los Diputados; Álex Cornejo, embajador de la paella en Perú; Carlos Mataix, presidente de la Feria Gastrónoma; y Purificación García, catedrática de la Universidad Politécnica de Valencia al frente del Departamento de Tecnología de Alimentos y el Grupo de Investigación e Innovación Alimentaria, quien ha ejercido como presidenta del jurado.
The first prize of the 59th edition of the Paella Valenciana de Sueca International Contest has finally been for the Fuentecerrada Restaurant, in Teruel. The chef, David Domingo, and his assistant, Mary Santos, very excited after hearing the verdict, have obtained the recognition of the jury formed on this occasion by chef Alejandro del Toro, representing Turismo Valencia; Núria Sanz, of the Valencia Restaurant Association; Antonio Crespo, director of the Tourism Center of Alicante, on behalf of the Regional Secretary of Tourism; Elena Casado, Swedish gastronomic blogger; Francisco Javier Gutiérrez Hurtado, director of Restoration in the Congress of Deputies; Álex Cornejo, ambassador of paella in Peru; Carlos Mataix, president of the Gastronomic Fair; and Purificación García, professor at the Polytechnic University of Valencia at the head of the Department of Food Technology and the Food Research and Innovation Group, who has served as president of the jury.

Posteriormente, ha tenido lugar la entrega de premios en una sala de la ciudad.
The Internacional Paella Valenciana Championship of Sueca, attached to the new gourmet brand L’Exquisit Mediterrani, and which has the collaboration of the Provincial Tourism Board, has been held as usual in the station park. Subsequently, the awards ceremony took place in a city hall.
El primer premio, entregado por el alcalde de Sueca, Dimas Vázquez, patrocinado por la empresa Jet Extramar, y dotado con un pergamino conmemorativo y 2.500 euros, ha ido a parar al restaurante Fuentecerrada. El segundo premio, entregado por la concejal de Turismo y responsable del Concurso, Manoli Egea, y patrocinado por Cerveza Turia, dotado con 1.500 euros y pergamino, ha sido para el Restaurante Goya Gallery, de Valencia. El tercer premio, entregado por el diputado provincial de Turismo, Jordi Mayor, y patrocinado por Torry Harris, dotado con 1.000 euros y pergamino, lo ha recogido el Restaurante El Racó, de Meliana.

Por último, la mejor paella cocinada por un restaurante de fuera de España ha sido para Ferdinando Campaniello, de Italia.
For its part, in this edition, as a novelty, the prize for the best paella cooked by a restaurant nationwide has been added to the prize list. Valencia (1,5 kg) Azafrán en hebras Sal Ramita de romero (optativa)
Cortamos el pollo y el conejo en 30 trozos regulares cada uno, los salaremos, pondremos el aceite a calentar en la paella y sofreiremos muy bien y lentamente dichos trozos.

Chicken (3 Kg) Rabbit (2 Kg) 4 dozen snails (vaquetes) Garrofó (Red beans) (1,5 kg) Tavella beans (500 g) Ferradura beans(1kg) 4 dl olive oil 4 cloves garlic, peeled and chopped 4 peeled ripe tomatoes 2 tablespoons sweet paprika Rice with D.O. Valencia (1.5 kg) Saffron in threads Salt Rosemary twig (optional)
Una vez sofrita la carne, se echa la verdura dándole igualmente el sofrito. A continuación se añade el ajo, pelado y picado, el pimentón dulce que se sofríe con el aceite un par de segundos y el tomate natural pelado y rallado. Seguidamente se ponen 6 litros de agua y se añaden las “vaquetas” engañadas anteriormente al sol. Todo esto se deja cocer durante 20 minutos. Después añadiremos las hebras de azafrán y el arroz repartido por toda la superficie de la paella y se deja cocer a fuego muy vivo durante 9 minutos. A continuación se le quita fuego para que hierva a fuego lento durante 9 minutos más, con el fin de que coja el punto de “socarrat”. Receta original de Jesús Melero, coordinador general del Concurso Internacional de Paella Valenciana de Sueca, avalada por el Club de Jefes de Cocina de la Comunidad Valenciana.
Cut the chicken and the rabbit meat in 30 regular pieces each one. Salt them and heat some oil in order to saute them very slowly. Once the meat is saute, add the vegetables and stir-fry them as well. Next, add the garlic, peeled and chopped, the sweet paprika that must be fried with the oil for a couple of seconds and the peeled and grated natural tomato. Then they put 6 liters of water and add the “vaquetas” previously deceived in the sun to come out of their shells. All this is left to boil for 20 minutes. Aferwards add the strands of saffron and the rice spread over the entire surface of the paella (pan) and let it cook over very hot fire for 9 minutes. Then fire is removed to simmer for 9 minutes more, in order to take the right point of “socarrat”. El 20 de septiembre de 2019 se celebró el World Paella Day, el segundo Día Mundial de la Paella tras el éxito que supuso la celebración del año pasado. El Día Internacional de la Paella es un reconocimiento al plato más universal de la gastronomía de Valencia y por ese motivo los organizadores prepararon una jornada en la que se realizaron charlas y un showcooking en la plaza del Ayuntamiento, en el que numerosos chefs de reconocido prestigio cocinaron sus platos y hubo una degustación gratuita. El chef Sergio Box del restaurante La Perla de Jávea participó elaborando un Arroz del Señoret de Xábia.
