Our Story Pull up a chair and pour some fresh coffee or tea! We love to visit with our friends, and often say that we have the best customers a company could ask for! CAP was founded in 2001 by Dr. Christopher Perrin, who seeks to cultivate curiosity, wonder, and a life long love of learning in students and educators through the classical approach. He has been a strong advocate and a leading voice of scholé, a restful approach to teaching and learning. Christopher is a humble listener, a collaborator, and a lover of truth, goodness, and beauty wherever it may be found. We are an educational publishing, media, resource, and consulting company—the product of Christopher’s collaborative approach, which has resulted in decades of brainstorming, conversations, thoughtful critiques, and classroom application with school and homeschool educators and leaders throughout the nation. Our mission is to produce and supply the finest curricula, media, and classical education training to communities across the English-speaking world. Our motto, “Classical Subjects Creatively Taught,” describes the essence of all that we publish. We seek to produce classical curricula, resources, and media with a clear design and structure, focusing on incremental and systematic instruction— all with a touch of delight, creativity, and flair.

The Man Born to Be King
C.S. Lewis read The Man Born to Be King, a twelve cycle play by Dorothy Sayers, every year during Holy Week. He wrote to her:
The Man Born to Be King
Miss Sayers, I’ve finished The Man Born to Be King and think it a complete success… I shed real tears (hot ones) in places: since Mauriac’s Vie de Jesus, nothing has moved me so much. Yours sincerely C.S. Lewis (Collected Letters, II, 577f)

The Liberal Arts Tradition A Philosophy of Christian Classical Education
This staple book for educators and those interested in education introduces readers to a paradigm for understanding a classical education that transcends the familiar three-stage pattern of grammar, logic, and rhetoric. Instead, this book describes the liberal arts as a central part of a larger and more robust model of classical education. It recovers the means by which classical educators developed more than just intellectual virtue (by means of the seven liberal arts) but holistically cultivated the mind, body, will, and affections. Printed Book: $12.95 (reg. $14.95)
“We needed this book. . . . Once you’ve read a book or two to introduce you to classical education and have started to ask the deeper questions about its history and nature, get this book and use it as a permanent reference.” —Andrew Kern, Circe Institute

Plato,
GIANTS IN THE HISTORY OF EDUCATION
Milton,
and C.S. Lewis are a must-have set of books for any educator interested in how these great thinkers of the past understood the nature of education. These small treasures will provoke questions such as: What views could be applied in our modern culture? How do we handle pagan texts? How do we develop a theology of aesthetics, and why we must grapple with the relationship between pagan wisdom and scripture? Set of all three books: $19.95 (sale)
AWAKENING WONDER
C. S. Lewis observed how modern education was changing our conception of what it means to be human. By cutting off students from the transcendent values of Truth, Goodness, and Beauty, modern schools ceased cultivating virtue in students and instead communicated a mechanistic vision of the world that viewed students as products to be engineered. With Awakening Wonder, Steve Turley demonstrates that precisely such a recovery is at the heart of the current classical education renewal. Teachers will also learn how to incorporate these values into their teaching to awaken awe and wonder in both themselves and their students. Printed Book: $7.95 (reg. $9.95)
