CONDUCTORS serve as assistant conductor for opera productions, opera scenes program, and orchestral concerts. Conductors will have the opportunity to lead students in orchestral and staging rehearsals, in addition to performance opportunities. They will work closely with the music director and festival conductors, receive

ARTS ADMINISTRATORS have the opportunity to work behind the scenes on the planning and artistic operations. Each participant will be given important responsibilities related to producing operas, orchestral concerts, chamber music, recitals, touring, and other elements of running a major international festival. These may include orchestra management, music library, theatre production assistant, festival coordinator, personnel manager, tour manager, and

COACHING APPRENTICES will work with leading opera coaches, voice teachers, and stage directors on two opera productions, the opera scenes program, as well as an art song performance and cabaret. Pianists will also have opportunities to perform chamber music and receive piano lessons from faculty at the Prague Conservatory, or conducting lessons from festival faculty. 2017 FESTIVAL FACULTY Appearing more than 650 times at the Metropolitan Opera, SHERRILL MILNES has performed at Vienna Statsoper, Royal Opera, Covent Garden, La Scala, Deutsche Oper, Paris Opera, Bavarian State Opera, Salzburg Festival, Hamburg Opera, Bolshoi Theatre, San Francisco Opera, Lyric Opera of Chicago, New York City Opera, as well as the opera companies of Pittsburgh, San Director of Orchestras at the University of Kentucky, Prague Summer Nights Artistic Director JOHN NARDOLILLO has appeared with more than 30 of America’s leading orchestras: Seattle, San Francisco, Detroit, Atlanta, Dallas, Milwaukee and Indianapolis, as well as the National Symphony and Boston Pops.

MARIA ZOUVES has performed with opera

companies and orchestras around the world. She has directed dozens of opera productions, and served as the Director of Opera at Northwestern University, the Associate General Director at Opera Tampa, and is the Founder and Executive Director of V.O.I.C.Experience. Professor of Orchestral Conducting at Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music, ARTHUR FAGEN has served as Music Director of the Atlanta Opera since 2010 and is in great demand as a conductor of symphony and opera in Europe, Asia, South America and the United States. He has served as Principal Conductor in Kassel and Brunswick and on the conducting staff of the Chicago Lyric Opera. Visiting Professor of Opera at DePauw University, JOACHIM SCHAMBERGER works internationally as a stage director and video designer. His productions have appeared in the United States, Germany, Italy, France, Brazil, Norway, Israel, Japan and China.

CATHERINE CLARKE NARDOLILLO has performed

throughout the United States, and in Canada, England, Austria, France, Switzerland, Italy, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands and the Czech Republic. She is on the voice faculty at Centre College.

JEREMY AYE has sung with the Metropolitan Opera,

Opera Colorado, Opera Omaha, Austin Lyric Opera, Santa Fe Opera, the Kansas City Symphony, the Omaha Symphony, and at Carnegie Hall. He currently sings in the Metropolitan Opera chorus, and serves on the voice faculty of New York University.

JUSTINA LEE has coached for the Metropolitan Opera,

Washington National Opera, Seattle Opera, Opera Theatre of St. Louis, the Glimmerglass Festival, the Wolf Trap Opera Company, and the Castleton Festival. She is the principal coach of the Maryland Opera Studio and serves on the faculty at the University of Maryland.

SCOTT REDNOUR serves on the faculty of the

Manhattan School of Music. He has coached and performed with leading artists in recital in New York, and has previously taught at Chautauqua and the Juilliard School.

MARCELLO CORMIO is an Italian born conductor,

opera coach and pianist. Among his recent engagements, he has served as cover conductor for the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra during the 2014-2015 season and as a conductor with the Sarasota Opera Festival.

LAUREN ROTH is the concertmaster of the Tucson

Symphony and a professor at the University of Arizona. She has played with the Cleveland Orchestra, and studied at the Cleveland Institute of Music, the Tanglewood Music Center, and the University of Washington, where she earned degrees in violin performance and Italian studies.
