The Marshals Post

Motorsport cannot exist without the support of the ‘Orange Army’, the volunteer ladies and gentlemen marshals who are required at all motorsport events. They cover a wide variety of tasks at motorsport events. The most obvious are the trackside incident marshals who are

positioned all around the track. If an incident occurs, they will spring in to action to assist any driver who requires help. This may just involve pushing vehicles away from the track if they have suffered a mechanical failure. In more serious situations, they may have to extract a driver from a damaged vehicle. Marshals have regular training sessions around the country, to give them the required skills to achieve the results required during a motorsport event. If you want to get involved with motorsport and get close to the action, then become a Marshal. Get more information from the British Motorsport Marshals Club web site at https://www.marshals.co.uk.
