1975 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible
The nameplate Eldorado is a contraction of two Spanish words that translate as "the gilded (golden) one" and also refers to El Dorado, the mythical South American "Lost City of Gold" that fascinated Spanish explorers.
This car belongs to the seventh generation (1971 -1978). For 1975, the Eldorado was given rectangular headlamps, full rear wheel openings sans fender skirts and crisper lines which resulted in a much sleeker appearance, reminiscent of the 1967–70 models.
