st​ Classy Living Society’s 1​ Annual Red Dress Gala Benefits Cheerful Givers

LOCAL NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION IN ATLANTA NEEDS “FOOT SOLDIERS” TO HELP THEIR CAUSE – SUNDAY, JUNE 22, 2014 THEY WILL WEAR RED DRESSES IN AN EFFORT TO CHANGE HOW WOMEN GIVE BACK TO ATLANTA COMMUNITIES ATLANTA, June 19, 2014 ​ ­ Founder & CEO of the local non­profit organization Classy Living Society, LLC (known as “CLS”) LaShanda Pitts, together with members of her organization will host a worthy fundraising gala event to benefit Cheerful Givers. Cheerful Givers is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to helping children in need by providing birthday gift bags through shelters and food shelves so that parents living in poverty can give their child a birthday gift. nd The Red Dress Gala will take place on Sunday, June 22​ from 12:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom of Twelve Hotel at Atlantic Station. This gala will be held as a means of giving back to an organization CLS is passionate about and to introduce Classy Living Society as a premier all women’s non­profit organization with a sincere and deep­rooted enthusiasm for philanthropic efforts surrounding volunteerism. “Celebrating the Cause” is a mantra which is often expressed amongst those who are familiar with CLS and their zest for inspiring, socializing, mobilizing and encouraging like­minded women to be someone greater than themselves and volunteer! Red Dress Gala attendees have been asked to donate red gift bags filled with small toys for young children. CLS hopes to collect over 200 red gift bags during the course of the champagne brunch event that will include passed hors d’oeuvres, a silent auction, over 20 local vendors, guest speakers and much more awaiting the attendees. CLS kicked off the year with “Skinny Jeans & Stilettos” a cocktail party where guests brought gently used clothes and accessories that were donated to free fab’rik and in Spring a CLS Boot Camp & Wellness Seminar in Piedmont Park and collected over 100 pairs of shoes that were donated to Love Beyond Walls; both active nonprofit organizations in Atlanta serving the needs of the community. volunteered with organizations like Black Celebrity Giving, Atlanta Covenant House and Enchanted Closets. Founded in 2013, the Classy Living Society is a women’s only, membership driven organization committed to providing volunteer services, being a hands­on community partner and hosting fundraisers for local charities in the State of Georgia. Pairing civic engagement with Mrs. Pitts’ passion and flair for throwing fabulous, fun and extraordinary events sets CLS apart.
