RECONVERTION BROWNFIELDS Old soap fabriek Lembeek
The surroundings of the site is part of strategic project Zennevallei. In this way the Flemish - Brabant, the Flemish Government, the regional Landscape Pajotteland & Zennevallei. The site is located next to the Zenne and Canals and here has to be a step in stone in the bigger picture of the Zennevallei project. Together with different stakeholders we would like to design via a design research evaluate the possibilities for the masterplan for the brownfields and its surroundings.
STRATEGIC HOUSING DEVELOPMENT Vision plan
The preparation of a strategic development vision should allow a move away from a business-as-usual scenario in which the entire housing supply is tackled without any spatial consideration. Development opportunities are not only selected on the basis of their potential for purely compaction. Based on a broad spatial analysis, future developments are tested against the spatial bottlenecks and qualities of Zoutleeuw. In this way, special attention is paid to safeguarding the relationship between residential areas and the surrounding landscape, a unique asset of the municipality. The preservation and enhancement of culturalhistorical value, the optimization of the network of slow roads and the making of green spaces can also be integrated into research into the places for desired developments. In this way a development vision is explored that guides future developments within a qualitative spatial framework.
LAYOUT OF HOSPITAL IN DIEST
The General Hospital (AZ) of Diest is currently spatially and functionally spread over two locations in Diest. The buildings are very outdated and can no longer provide an answer to recent developments in healthcare. The urgent demand for more attention to quality operation, comfort and sustainability arises. The general hospital wishes to evolve into a single regional care campus. This is an opportunity to revise the operation of both campuses, to better coordinate the care offer and to organize themselves more efficiently. The integration of this complex and broad program in the small-town fabric of Diest is naturally a challenge. Care functions such as hospitals are often characterized fairly large by a large mass. Nevertheless, Atelier Romain opts to focus on a rather small-scale grain within the plan area that fits in optimally with the urban fabric. Recent evolutions in the care sector argue for accessible and accessible care embedded in the urban fabric. Given the strong evolution in health care, the demand for continuous adaptability and the demand to limit the financial risk, a phased development of the hospital is necessary. The plan provides for a strong interweaving with the Demervallei and the Cerckel park, which benefits healthcare.

GENT Ruimte voor Gent
The Ghent Spatial Structure Plan (RSG) has been setting out the guidelines for the spatial policy of the City of Ghent for more than twelve years. It directs the development and dynamics of the city with visible success in the field. The new policy plan does not constitute an update of the existing structure plan but takes another step forward in the thinking, ambition and development of a future-oriented Ghent urban region. This is expressed in an urban development vision that is no longer based on sub-areas, thematically-driven development and sub-structures. The policy plan, on the other hand, starts from urban functioning and people-oriented planning. The daily dynamics are organized around different urban networks, including mobility, public space, water and even underground networks. The spatial and functional arteries of both the historic center and the metropolitan growth city form the backbone of the current and future city. Moreover, the coming together of different networks in one place creates opportunities for well-chosen compaction projects, new green structures and increased attention for water. The Room for Ghent policy plan also does not shy away from current themes and challenges. It consciously focuses on climate robustness and child-friendliness, with special attention to the living environment of the residents and to the concrete, everyday use of the space.

SAN BARTOLO Urban & Mobility regeneration
San Bartolo is a coastal town located at 50km south from Lima. During summer its population grows. It is one of the districts with the highest rate of pedestrian trips. San Bartolo has a compact town character with destinations located at walking distances. However, with the expansion of the real estate boom to the beaches south of Lima, San Bartolo is threatened by the increase in density and the resulting increase in vehicles on the streets. The existing streets of San Bartolo are based on national building regulations, and follow the modernist logic of the city of the 50s, where the car was seen as the only agent to give priority to when designing the railway section. It is urgent to give feasible and simple solutions to improve the quality of the urban tissue and mitigate the constant risk local dwellers face during

MUSEO DE LA MEMORIA Competition
The project is organized along a grand staircase that proposes a ceremonial descent, a pilgrimage, committing the user to look at the horizon. Since the land is totally disconnected from the urban fabric that surrounds it, it is necessary to connect it to the surrounding roads to make it an accessible and active place. The pedestrian flows coming from the street and the boardwalk are prolonged and annexed to the course of the building, in an operation that dissolves the limits between the three, transforming them into a single great journey. The location of the complex in the middle of a slope of 23 meters difference between the upper and lower level, calls for a transversal connection between the city and the sea. Our response to this demand is
