Breakfast Granola

4 cups whole rolled oats 1 1/2 cups nuts, roughly chopped (I use 1/2 cup each of walnuts, pecans, and almonds) Note: for nuts allergies substitute sunflower seeds or pumpkin seeds. 1/2 cup flax seeds 1/2 cup wheat germ 1/2 cup brown sugar, lightly packed 2 teaspoons cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg 1/4 teaspoon allspice 1 1/2 teaspoons salt 1/3 cup vegetable oil 1/3 cup honey 1/2 cup water 2 teaspoon vanilla extract This recipe will need to be cooked first then used to fill your mason jar. Preheat the oven to 300 degrees and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper (I use two spread out for crunchier granola). Mix all the dry ingredients together in an extra large bowl. Whisk together the wet ingredients. Pour the wet mixture over the dry ingredients, and stir the granola until it's evenly moist. Spread on  two lined baking sheets for crunchy granola or one for softer . Bake for 20 minutes, then stir and bake for another 20 minutes. You have the options of adding dried fruits at the end of any kinds. Bake for 40 minutes or longer on one sheet for 50 minutes. Cool, add to mason jars. Instructions tag should read: How to use granola IE on top of salads, in yogurt, on baked goods, ice cream, etc. or just attach the recipe on your jar so they can make another batch!
