The main room is seen as a multipurpose indoor piazza overlooking the lower floor, which is related on a small scale with the arrangement of the buildings and the green of via Duca degli Abruzzi and on a large scale with the arrangement of the walls and the direction of Via della Croce Rossa. The polivalent room itself becomes the central point of the whole project and it aims to interact closely with the church and the square and the entire historic urban fabric on a large scale.

DIRECTIONS
From the study and analysis of the context, it has come to define three main directions that have allowed to outline the plot of the entire project, they shall be identified in: 1-viale Alcide De Gasperi, one of the few streets that have characteristics of urban boulevard. 2-north limit of the project area defines a net change of orientation if compared with the residences of the south side. 3-curves level and then land contours determine the direction of green pattern and buildings in the area to the south side, on the sloping side.
RESIDENCES
The design strategy starts from the analysis of the spatial residential developments near the project area. The apartment block develops at a different quote from the public space, the purpose is also to determine a closure to the front in the north-east of the area opening to the city, consistently with what appears to be the arrangement of
PUBLIC SPACE
Unlike housing, the design strategy of public and commercial area is based no longer on the closure to the front north-east, but rather the fragmentation of the buildings in order to highlight the different functions that take the various insurgencies: bars, shops.
LUDIC SPACE
To the south the shape of the level curves determines the orientation, more deliberately irregular, of the buildings contrasted with greater regularity and rigidity that reflects the general organization of the project. This irregularity also determines the presence of green pattern in the area, with the maintenance of the integrity of the pre-existing park in the southeast side.

Ground MORPHOLOGICAL ANALYSIS
FIRST FLOOR PLAN
Comments The urban area is limited and divided by wather. Infact the river and the sea close the urban area in southern and western side; while in the northern part we can find an hill, that ospitate a temple. Very important is the presence of the island, principal touristic place.
URBAN MORFOLOGY The urban tissue is very chaotic and don’t presents a regular mesh. Moreover is important the presence of historical and religious buildings inside the area, like the temples situated on the northern hill and in the island and some historical shops.
