ClĂĄudio Daniel Gomes Castro Porto, Portugal, 1980 My professional life is driven by passion and a deep commitment to sustainable design processes, taking into account the best human values and real-world problems. Attention to detail, simpliďŹ cation and the ability to solve are the most valuable skills that I have to develop and bring to life innovative, economically sustainable and disruptive ideas. Working in an Architectural OďŹƒce and later leading the project department in an Industrial company for eight years, made me a better and experienced designer. Adding a wide range of skills in Industrial Designing, Design Management and a deep understanding about manufacturing, materials and industrial processing.

PROCESS
PROCESS
My design process is divided into five distinct phases that can never be separated. A consistent method that allows for greater fluidity of information capable of generating sustainable, coherent and optimal strategies.
1 Problem definiton Identification of problems defined in the breafing: Functionality, market segment, social segment, durability, technology, resources, costs.
2 Research Research and analysis of existing products on the market and competition, gathering data, surveying, social understanding, image research.
3 Synthesize data Synthesizing and dissection of information through the development of analysis boards and comparison charts.
4 Creation Development of the creative process through sketching, graphic mood boards, experimentation, modeling, virtual prototyping and physical prototyping.
5 Implementation Development of technical drawings for production. Preparation and presentation either graphical or physical to stake-holders involved in the project. This is where ideas become reality, and where there is actually a real engagement with the client so that a viable, optimized and above all valued solution is guaranteed.

VOOG HEADPHONES
VOOG is a new concept for Qeria, a startup company in Stockholm. This product would be the startpoint of a new sound ecosystem for smartphones and portable devices. The scope of this project follows not only a good sound engineering but also a good touching and visual feeling. Those senses are inherited from the panel of soft rubber applied in the ear pads that maintains a uid connection between the object and the power cable. 10

LAYER MULTITOUCH TABLE
LAYER is a unique universal design piece, thought for people with and without diabilities. It’s structure integrates the latest multi touch technology with a pure and beautiful physical form that grants an easy access to the side maintanance doors. This table allows for true multiuser interaction from 2 to 32 touch points with a bright LED Screen from 32" to 55". The Layer design with it's color variation allows to be used by many industries and comercial spaces, enphasizing the environment where it is deployed. Designed for MOOBO - Portugal 2013

LAMASSU BITCOIN MACHINE
The Bitcoin ATM is a technological project whose functionality has only one simple purpose, simplifying the process of turning cash into bitcoin currency. The design development followed a simple path and purpose, create a simple object, easy identifiable with a user friendly interface. This equipment breaks what has been developed so far, so there was a underlying need to use materials that evoke current technology and contemporary visuals. This is achieved with the presence of black glass, whose reflection and glare, reflects an actual approach. The structure is produced from bended sheetmetal steel that grants strength and protection of the equipment and reduces the manufacturing costs for lower productions runs. Designed for LAMASSU - United States of America 2013
