Designed for those looking to keep up-to-date on current trends in teaching or build on their vocational skills, these courses are perfect for current educators and those that love to learn.
Personal Success Program
The Personal Success Program (PSP) offers a variety of vocational courses to meet the needs of students 18 years and older with mild to moderate cognitive impairment. The program’s focus is on gaining vocational skills to acquire entrylevel employment.
Each class is led by a content expert who has experience teaching people with disabilities. A special education teacher is present in most classes to provide additional support. The curriculum is designed to be delivered at a level and pace appropriate to each student’s needs. All new students must be interviewed to determine eligibility prior to enrolling in classes. WELLNESS FOR WORK AND LIFE
This course focuses on healthy lifestyles in one’s work and personal life through a holistic approach to wellness. Topics include nutrition, exercise, stress reduction, mental wellness and self-care. Students will gain tools to help them grow and thrive through balanced work and personal lives, as well as knowledge of job opportunities in the Health and Wellness field.
