PROGRAMS & YOUTH ENGAGEMENT COORDINATOR – CENTRAL OKLAHOMA The Programs & Youth Engagement Coordinator – Central Oklahoma position is a full-time position that reports directly to the Cleats for Kids (C4K) Director of Operations (Director). Job duties may vary based upon the business needs to fulfill our mission. At all times, employees are required to have read, understand, implement and comply with C4K’s policies and procedures. On occasion, job responsibilities related to this position and C4K events occur after normal business hours and on weekends. Areas of responsibility, job requirements and core competencies for this position include: Representation of C4K This position will represent C4K in communications and interactions with a wide variety of stakeholders across Oklahoma on a regular basis. This position requires a passion for helping children, families, teachers, and coaches and the ability to lead them and set a positive example including respectful and age-appropriate language, good manners, and demonstrating good, healthy behaviors. Programs Coordination This position works with the Director to coordinate, organize and execute programs operations including but not limited to, events, procedures and physical activities for collection, storage, inventory management, inventory transportation and distribution of sporting goods. This position will also work with relationship management, outreach and communication with schools, coaches, families, leagues, community partners and vendors. These functions will primarily be performed in Central Oklahoma, but may include statewide Oklahoma. Collection Drive Coordination This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing sporting goods collection drives in Oklahoma. This includes but is not limited to, relationship management, outreach and communication with collection drive hosts; pick-up and delivery of collection bins/boxes and sporting goods donations, and timely collection of data and maintenance of database and metrics pertaining to collection drives. Youth Engagement This position is responsible for all aspects of the Varsity Board, Junior Varsity Board and other youth engagement activities which connect C4K’s mission with students, families, schools and organizations. This position is encouraged to utilize creative ideas in executing these job responsibilities with approval from the Director prior to planning and implementation. These functions will primarily be performed in Central Oklahoma, but may include statewide Oklahoma. Responsibilities for youth engagement are set forth more specifically in C4K’s Procedure Manual and include but are not limited to the following: a) Conduct outreach to middle and high schools. b) Organize and implement the application process and maintain membership data for Varsity and Junior Varsity Boards (student and parent contact information, geographic/school information and other relevant data). c) Timely collection of data and metrics including success and effectiveness of youth engagement programs and activities. d) Communicate with students and parents on a timely and regular basis about the C4K’s mission, application process, meetings, volunteer opportunities, events, etc. e) For the Varsity Board, utilize the 4 Year curriculum to plan, schedule, coordinate and implement four meetings annually. Plan, organize and implement volunteer and community service learning opportunities. f) For the Junior Varsity Board, plan and implement four community service learning opportunities for the Board.

g) Plan, schedule, coordinate and implement any fundraising activities, which must be approved by the Director of Operations. h) Plan, schedule, coordinate and implement volunteer and community service learning opportunities with C4K and with partners for C4K related activities. i) Manage collection drives. j) Prepare and send thank you notes related to youth engagement activities. Miscellaneous Duties ● Act as an ambassador and champion for the mission of Cleats for Kids. ● Drive a motor vehicle to various activities primarily in Central Oklahoma but may be statewide. ● Attend as requested collection, distribution, or community events which may be outside normal work hours. ● As assigned, perform any other clerical and administrative tasks related to inventory, collections, distributions, programs, youth engagement activities and volunteers, including recording data in electronic and hard copy forms. ● Preparing, completing, organizing, and filing forms and records. ● Tabulate and perform basic calculations with data. ● Prepare and present reports, communications, and updates verbally and in writing to staff, C4K committees and Board, and other stakeholders. Written communications include emails, texts, posts, handwritten notes, and letters. ● Attend staff meetings and events. ● Set appointments and punctually meet them. ● Comply with Policies and Procedures. ● Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned and support other staff as needed. Job Skills and Other Attributes Include: ● Spanish language speakers are encouraged. ● College degree or commensurate experience. ● Positive, can-do attitude, self-motivated, hard worker, and team player with staff and volunteers. ● Ability to build positive relationships with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community, including staff, board members, volunteers, students, donors, program recipients (i.e., kids, families, coaches, teachers), community partners and vendors. ● Ability to work effectively, constructively and professionally with all kids and adults. ● Ability to clearly and professionally communicate verbally and in writing in the English language and has strong interpersonal skills. ● Ability to make independent administrative/procedural decisions and judgments appropriate for the position and have accountability for job responsibilities. ● Ability to adapt to a changing environment, develop and share new strategies to accomplish objectives. ● Ability to work in collaboration with partners, staff and volunteers and encourage a collaborative environment. ● Maintain accurate and organized records relating to job functions. ● Skilled using personal computers and software applications, including Excel, Word, and Google documents. ● Ability to lift and carry sporting equipment, boxes and collection receptacles and bins and ability to perform physical functions necessary to collect, distribute, clean and maintain a store of sporting goods. ● Experience with and knowledge of sporting goods types, cost and sizes. ● Experience with and knowledge of sports teams, leagues and school sports. ● Maintain a valid driver’s license, have access to a fully insured motor vehicle, and ability to drive personal car and C4K van as needed.
