The Stand-Up Lifts offer great flexibility for multiple care or for home care. These items are designed for a patient who is able to “weight bear” in some capacity (usually for short periods). Alternatively, the devices could be used as part of a general re-habilitation package or to build / aid patient confidence.
When transferring between multiple environments for short distances, then this product is most suitable. A few examples of this could be, toilet usage or simply transferring from a chair into a bed or other support surface. Maneuverability performance is essential to take into account to perform all types of transfers in a secure framework for the patient. An emergency lowering facility is essential, should a hoist be at the end of its battery charge or life. 6

• The AXXUP is specially selected for the budget conscious, without compro- mising on quality and attention to detail. • It provides provides a safe and efficient raising process, while simulating natural movement. The heel block prevents the detachment of the feet. • The standing up process allows simple and comfortable transfers. • The very best product efficiency is achieved when used in conjunction with its specially designed sling • As this product measures only 58 cm at its widest point, then the AXXUP is compact enough for entering even the smallest of spaces. When reviewing which mobile product is deemed the most suitable for a patient, then one must apply suicient thought in which environment it is to be used. Consideration should be given as to whether the legs of the hoist will move correctly into the right position and indeed whether or not they can approach a bed, chair or other furniture appropriately and without danger to the patient or carer.
In addition, further thought should be given in relation to the oor surface of which the product will be used upon. Castor size, depth and ease of movement are also important considerations with hoist design.

Storage of the hoist when not in use is equally important. Therefore size, ability to transport, and in some instances collapsibility are key features. An emergency lowering facility is essential, should a hoist be at the end of a battery charge or life.
