This housing project follows the one of a hotel room I had to design depending on a scenario I wrote : an author seeking new inspiration. I worked on the duality between the private life you let show and the one you keep for yourself. When you live with other people - family, lover, friend - where can you be alone and have this true time for yourself ? I am convinced that we all need some moment with no one but ourself inspiration A

all life long. Therefore, every apartment in this building includes one or two « room of one’s own » as Virginia Woolf wrote accurately. Room of self-expression, of rest, of choices. I first searched for different typologies of corridor to access this room, to finally end up by giving this corridor the status of the room itself. They became extrusions of the façade, as we can see them from outside, but they remain hidden from inside. /

arc structure which continues underground, as a long tunnel put on the ground basting in the site. This structure has then been diffused through the entire building. (see Volumetric Model) Thanks to the architecture this structure created, some terraces were added, some intimate spaces for the showers, some technical rooms and so on. (see Section Model)

Here is a project of a 1750 square meters swimming pool at the Parc de la Villette, Paris. (see Site Model) We had the liberty to add another program to this building ; in my case : a thermal corridor, as a transition area between the changing rooms and the main pool. (see Atmosphere Model) This kind of program needing a specific geometry, I designed an inspiration

The study of the site I made is focused on the networks of the Parc de la Villette and their links. Straight main pedestrian roads meet the kinematic path designed by Bernard Tschumi. From these intersections, knots are born. Between these knots, spaces with straight and curved

The arc structure basting over the swimming pool is one of the specificities of the project. I chose the wickerwork technic to be able to represent the volumes of the building as a skeleton. As the wooden site model, this one

edges are created. Those ones inspired the marquetry model. The aesthetic of the veneering (shade, texture, brilliance, direction of the veins) allows the differentiation of the surfaces and highlights their contrasts. For the context, the exiting buildings are added with other wooden pieces.

reflects the artisanal work that I got interested into for the representation of the project. Here, the spaces are dilated or tensed depending on the uses (hall, changing room, showers, pools‌) and the structure follows the rhythm.

The main pool and its access via the showers is the space I worked on the most. This bas-relief model, longitudinally cut, shows the interior of these spaces and the transition to pass from one to another. A part of the transitional corridor ‘changing room - showers - pool’ is thus visible.

(see Atmosphere Model for more details) The water is pouring back through the striped floor of the corridor, and other machine rooms are underground between the arc structures. In the pool area, these arcs create boxes and nests for the swimmers to rest or attend sport events.

The focus in this project has been made on this « transitional corridor » between the changing rooms, the showers and the pool. This corridor allows oneself to get progressively into the water mood, avoiding the shock of the first shower when you arrive dry. Thanks to nozzles, a mist is formed in the corridor as soon as you leave the changing rooms. While you’re walking, the mist gets thicker until the nozzles project bigger drops of water : you’ve arrived to the showers. The circular volume of this corridor comes

from the constraints of the evaporation of water and the ventilation needed for it. To put this concept at the core of the building, the structure designed for this corridor has been diffused to the entire project. The swimmer cross the water mist like a cloud. Here, this mist is represented by several filters you have to insert into the model. The natural light is coming from removable pieces on the top of the model. Then, you can watch inside the model to get the atmosphere of the pool.

use the extracted soils from the construction site to create a new skin around the station area. Housings are created in, on, and between the earth. Existing patrimonies are wrapped up with redeemed industrial greenhouses. The soils are used as a land for the new topography but also as a material for the construction of the housings (walls like mudbricks, plus concrete base).

This project comes from the collaboration between Catherine Rannou and the township of Caulnes, Côtes d’Armor, in Brittany. A diversion of a highway happening nearby, the projet consists in researching a way to keep the vivacity and the activity of the village. After spending one week in situ living with the inhabitants to understand their needs, my group mates and I decided to inspiration

the classrooms, as a visible symbol of the school in the neighborhood. The schools is opened on the southern side and quite closed on the northern one, to preserve the children from the activity going on around the block. The north façade is thickened with an « awaking wall » where some recreational spaces are created, as well as storages for each classroom and other conveniences.

This school group (kindergarten and elementary) is located at the south of a pedestrian city block. To be in accord with the density of the urban area, the school works in verticality : the central split of vertical traffic emphasizes this height and cuts the building in two. On the western part : classrooms repeated and stacked up. On the eastern part : courtyards stacked up too. The sport hall is put above inspiration

shapes and so on, to bring them in a handmade way - to the new resort. Some urban hills are thus created, facing the natural ones. Where the intensity is the highest on the hills is where the main center of the resort is (high buildings, diversity of shades, moving grounds). The verticality of the trunks becomes the verticality of the faรงade materials, the canopy of the trees become the angular shapes of the roofs, et cetera.

This touristic resort is situated between the Baltic Sea and a forest, in northern Finland. The aim is to created an urban center for tourists including accommodations and permanent housings. The main idea is to bring the experience of the natural hills existing on the eastern part of the site on the western part of it. To do so, we take inspiration from the intensity of the feelings we got there, the atmospheres, the shades, the inspiration

The name of the exhibition got me interested into the place of human being in our world and made me want to bring us back to our origins : birth. In this area of 12 x 8 x 6 meters, my researches ended up being about an explicitly organic atmosphere, disturbing but serene. I wanted the person passing through the place to be brought back to his or her essence, as a

reminder that we all come from the same place. The monumental scale of the project contrasts with the minimal place that the visitor occurs. The chosen materials are wanted similar as the dental alginate used in the medical industry. Finally, a column is placed in the middle of the space, from which a slight light is coming to highlight the intimacy of it.

I wouldn’t call you my love But you were more than a friend Seems like there’s no word for us And I won’t play pretend It’s our own story we write We should spell it our way We are the proof we can rise Above what they used to say Some will say this is too weird Ask if we wouldn’t want more In our mind it’s crystal clear But all your questions pour Don’t want us to be different To change anything we share We are precious and different We know how to take care Every moment with you Calms me down gently There is nothing I can do You put a bliss inside of me Your soul ended up stroking mine When I wasn’t prepared Sad how we deal with time Now that we have none to spare Our story was painless It all came naturally What we settled is timeless We opened the gates of infinity This is the wonders of love When arrive whole new hearts As we taught ourselves to love We’ll be ready to host A heart is not a tear Mustn’t dry so easily We shouldn’t have to fear To open up freely Now we know how to forgive To control us from above We know we won’t be naive Simply horny for love
