TOILET 1/2” The riser diagram is SHOWER 1/2” able display the typical water 1/2” distribution for unit clusters and how water travels upwards. The design allows for a single water wall to for cold and hot water to travel horizontally and vertically to the plumbing fixtures and utilizes an up-feed water distribution system. The water heater for each cluster is buried underground and is fed water via a pressurized underground water pipe that connects to then municipal system along the street. The pipe sizes for the main cold water services is 1” in radius and 1/2” in radius for the boiler. General pipes serving the fixtures are 3/4” in radius until servicing the individual fixture where the radius is then reduced to 1/2”. Rain water that is collected throughout the site travels down drainage pipe to a the public storm sewer and relies strictly on gravity to do so.

Description

PRESSURIZED UNDERGROUND WATER PIPE FROM MUNICIPAL SYSTEM

Waste Water Stack Vents 4”

To local sewer system

The waste water of each fixture is funneled down and directed to the local sewer system just east of the site. There is a singular pipe running vertically that acts as the main collection pipe. Pipes responsible for hosting large amounts of waste water have a diameter of 4”. Singular fixture pipes have a diameter of 1.25” and double/triple fixture pipes have a diameter of 2”. This system is replicated in the stack vent assembly. As a vent become responsible for a greater amount of ventilation the diameter of pipe size increases from 1.25” - 2” - 4” where it is then released from the roof.
