The purpose of the Code is to protect the public health, safety and welfare in existing structures and premises, and as described more specifically in Section 101.2 of the Code. The amendment inserts a new Subsection 302.9 which provides: 302.9 Restrictions on lawn parking. In platted residential subdivisions, on lots containing an area of two acres or less, off street parking forward of the house shall be confined to approved parking and drive surfaces and may not occur on lawn, dirt, mulch or similar areas if forward of the house. This subsection does not apply to temporary activity such as active loading or unloading, or an ongoing special event such as a party. This subsection does not regulate parking in the street right of way. If necessary, the Community Development Director shall determine the area of the approved parking and drive surfaces. The amendment also made a minor typographical revision to the definition of “Public Nuisance” contained in Section 202, and added the word “may” (following the word “outside”) within the description of Exterior Property Maintenance contained in Subsection 302.8. The amendments are recited in Miami Township Resolution 2019-04. Subsections are renumbered as necessary to accommodate these amendments. A complete copy of the Code as adopted is on file with the Miami Township Fiscal Officer, and at the Clermont County Law Library for inspection by the public.
