Memories are treasures no one can steal, Death is a heartache no one can heal We feel her presence near She’s watching down on the one’s she loved We remember the things she did To let us know she cared, The passing years have proved Her guarding influence will never leave. It’s only just been moved. Missed by: Eileen McCall Mr. & Mrs. Cameron McCall, Alma & Jocelyn Mr. & Mrs. Greg Moore Danielle & Priscilla

TWO WAYS Psalm 1 starts out with: “Blessed is the man...” What a wonderful portion of scripture we have in the Psalms. We find all types of life’s situations in them. We also find many of the prophecies of our Lord Jesus Christ there. However, what I want you to notice is the two paths that we can take in life. In Psalm 1 they are spelled out very plainly. “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.” There is the way of the righteous and the way of the ungodly; these are the only two paths you can take in life. The sinner has a way about him and that is his procedure and that is what he is going to do. A sinner is a sinner and he will act like a sinner, live like a sinner, and talk like a sinner. Now there are sophisticated sinners and crude sinners; but they all are still sinners. People might consider that a sophisticated sinner is a good person because he appears to be a nice, considerate, good hearted, well spoken person, but, if he is not saved he is still a sinner. The Bible says in Proverbs 14:12: “There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” Look with me in Matthew 7:13-14. Jesus said: “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.” Many nice people along with the wicked people will enter into the broad way simply because they will not receive Christ as their Saviour. Jesus said in John 10:9: “I am the door: by me if any man

enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.” In John 14:6 Jesus said: “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” Jesus is the straight gate, the narrow way, but, few there be that will accept Him as their Saviour because they will choose the broad way. We find the two ways again in Luke 16 in the story of Lazarus and the rich man. The rich man went to Hell and Lazarus went to paradise. Two ways, two men. Everyone will come to the fork in the road of life. Once there, they will have to make a choice in which direction they will go, the way of the righteous or the way of the sinner. The way of the righteous is the right choice. It is not a hard way. Jesus said in Matthew 11:29-30: “Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” The way of the sinner is the wrong choice, a huge mistake! Even though it might appear easy, “a way which seemeth right unto man”, it will lead to destruction in the end. There are no detours around Jesus which will get you into heaven. You can’t work your way. Ephesians 2:8-9: “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” You can’t be “good enough” because even if you could keep the Ten Commandments perfectly the Bible tells us in Galatians 2:21 that Christ would have died in vain. God would not have allowed His Son to die in vain if being good could get you into Heaven. It is God’s grace and your faith in the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ that will get you into heaven. Humble yourself and ask Him to forgive you and He will (Romans 10:9-13).
