WEATHERIZATION INSPECTOR If you have a strong background in carpentry, construction, and/or energy related fields, the Housing Energy Department of ABCAP in Winchester is accepting resumes or applications for an Inspector. This position will provide specialized training that you will receive on the job. The Inspector responsibilities include making initial contact with the weatherization applicants to schedule and inspect their home and determine the weatherization needs of the home, and counseling residents on the energy conservation measures to be performed on their home. Individual will be using special calibrated equipment and will also be responsible for completing all required paperwork in strict compliance with funding source guidelines. Applicants need a high school diploma or GED; three to five years related experience in housing construction/energy related trades, ability to work without direct supervision, and must attend all required trainings. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record that meets the agency’s fleet insurance standards and must pass a drug screen and criminal records check.
