A tutoring and learning center is scheduled to open this month in the Mt. Orab area. Back to Basics Learning Center is owned by licensed teacher and lifelong Brown County resident Tracy Mullins. Mullins’s experience in the classroom and in helping students prepare for standardized testing prompted her to open Back to Basics. “I’ve noticed a lack of basic reading and math skills in students at a variety of grade levels.

Panties Across the Bridge is the Jaymie Jamison Foundation for Hope's largest awareness event for gynecological cancer. It will take place on July 12th from 11 a.m.-dark. We will be hanging thousands of panties across the Purple People Bridge that connects Newport, KY and Cincinnati, OH. Each panty represents a life lost to gynecological cancers. Also on the bridge will be faces of women who have battled, are battling, or have lost their life to gynecological cancer. From 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. will be a health fair with different booths including an opportunity to have a cardiovascular screening with St Elizabeth. Beginning at 4 p.m. live music begins until dark. Bands playing will include Gypsy Stone, Jordan Jackson, Spear-
point, Hope Jamison, Noah Smith and more. MTV will be at our event filming our emcee of the event this year, Brandon Frazee, who will be shooting a new reality show. Brandon will help count down to us lighting the bridge teal for gynecological cancer awareness. Want to be involved? Sardinia seniors enjoy outting Twenty-five members and guests of the Alpha Class from the Sardinia Church of Christ recently enjoyed a summer outing. The group traveled to Higginsport and rode the ferry across the Ohio River to Augusta, KY. While in Augusta, they enjoyed a delicious meal at the Parkview Inn before returning back to Ohio on the ferry. It was an enjoyable day for all who attended.
