T-shirt design contest kicks off 2018 clean-up

The Clermont Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) and the Valley View Foundation are teaming up to support the 2018 Spring Litter Clean-Up in Clermont County and the East Fork Little Miami River Watershed. The event kicks off this month with a T-shirt design contest open to all local K-12 students. Any K-12 student attending a school located in Clermont County, or within the East Fork watershed, may register to compete. T-shirt designs should emphasize litter clean-up and prevention. Students can review contest rules and register
through the event website at www.springlittercleanup.co m. The grand prize winner will be awarded $100, with an additional $100 going to the student's school art department. There will also be 13 grade level awards given at $25 each. Designs must be submitted by Feb. 2, 2018. The Spring Litter CleanUp will be held 9 a.m.-noon on Saturday, April 21, 2018, in various communities across the county and watershed. The clean-up is a combination of two events that have proved successful for more than 20 years in
Clermont County - the East Fork River Sweep and Clermont Clean & Green events. The event is coordinated each year by the East Fork Watershed Collaborative and Valley View Foundation.
