HELP WANTED THE VILLAGE OF BETHEL is accepting applications for the position of Public Works Supervisor. The Public Works Supervisor is responsible for the efficient and effective operation of the Public Works Department, including the divisions of Electric, Water and Streets. The Village seeks an organized and detail-oriented candidate with working knowledge of the materials, methods and techniques used in the construction and maintenance of streets, water distribution systems, parks and grounds development and maintenance. In addition, a working knowledge of municipal electric distribution systems is preferred. The Public Works Supervisor is appoint by and reports directly to the Village Administrator. Minimum qualifications are a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license from the state of residence, with the ability to obtain and maintain a Commercial Class-A Driver’s License, and five years related experience or training is required. Prior supervisory experience is preferred. Starting annual salary range is $21 to $25 per hour, based upon experience and qualifications. This full time position includes health insurance, village ontribution to PERS and other benefits.
