Duke Energy awarded nearly $600,000 to grantees throughout Greater Cincinnati during the 2018 K-Career Grant Recipients Ohio and Kentucky award ceremony on May 22, including $10,000 to UC Clermont College for Information Technology program virtualization. The project focuses on the creation of a cloudbased computer lab environment, including a virtual computer hardware platform, storage devices and computer network resources that can be accessed from anywhere using any device. Each “virtual desktop” would have access to all the licensed software that could be found in a campus lab, making the program more flexible to changing technology needs (easier to update) and providing more control to faculty members over the technology needs of students. Granted funds will cover part of the cost of virtualization for current IT classes, provide access to
