Barons look to cash in on senior experience BY CHRIS CHANEY Sun staff
The Amelia Barons have been working for four years for this season. A senior-laden roster has the blue and white boasting their most complete squad in recent memory, headed up by Carter Hounshell and Tyler Nicodemus. “The majority of the team is made up of seniors,” head coach Randy Hospelhorn said. “I told the seniors at the beginning of the year that they’re going to have to carry us. “We have Ty Nicodemus at quarterback, Carter Hounshell at running back, TJ Troxell at full back, TJ Reed at (defensive) end and tight end, Garrett Weaver, Mason Blankenship and Wade Hauser at wide receiver; they’re all seniors, so we’re a very seniororiented bunch.” In all, the Barons are hoping to suit up more than 15 seniors this season, depending on pay-to-play fees, which have been lowered this year by the West Clermont School District from $495 per athlete to $250 per sport with a $500 yearlong cap. Hospelhorn explained that the majority of the seniors on the Barons have been suiting up on Friday nights since their freshman year in part because numbers were down due to the steep pay-to-play fees. Amelia enters the season with expectations to turn some heads

with the experience that they will put out on the field. Without a winning season since 2010, the Barons hope to stop that trend with a solid 2014 campaign. Amelia will be running a spread offense that Hospelhorn hopes will allow his playmakers to use their skills. In turn, the underclassmen will get the opportunity to learn and mature without being thrown into the gauntlet that is Friday night varsity football. A rotation of seniors will man the offensive and defensive lines, setting the tone up front that Amelia is not to be overlooked. Chris Runski leads that group with a number of others expected to be added to the roster by the time the Barons line up Week One against Glen Este. The annual West Clermont rivalry game kicks off the season for Amelia once again and they are looking for their first win over the Trojans since 1998. “As usual, (Glen Este) is pretty

Bulldogs trying to get back into playoff picture BY CHRIS CHANEY Sun staff
A new coach and an updated scheme has the Batavia Bulldogs looking to get back in contention for a playoff berth in 2014. Former Batavia standout Caleb Corrill has taken over the reigns at his alma mater after Don Sizer resigned at the end of last school year. Corrill, who has been on the staff for the past four years, moved up the ladder after a lengthy search for Sizer’s replacement. Given his familiarity with the program, Corrill has taken his opportunity to fine-tune the scheme that he believes best utilizes his players’ talents. “We’re led by KeShawn Foley, our quarterback, and we’ve tailored our offense for him,” Corrill explained. “We have a lot of returning experience (on our offensive line), four out of five starters are back. We’ve installed a

zone scheme that’s taken a little longer to learn, but we have really good kids. They’re smart and they work hard on what they’re trying to learn. “We’re going to be in more of a spread look this year and try to throw the football when we can.” Aside from Foley, who has been a First Team All-Southern Buckeye Conference performer each of the last two seasons, the Bulldogs will rely on their wide-

outs to shoulder some of the load offensively. Corrill said that Shawn Williams and Conn Girard will be Foley’s most potent threats on the outside due to their sharp route running and size. Dylann Wagner
will get a lot of touches out of the backfield playing as a scatback, while KeShawn’s younger brother, Darnay, will do a bit of everything from his tailback position. On defense, Darnay Foley will turn around and head up the unit
with help from senior Romelo Williams, a three-year starter. Corrill said that the Bulldogs’ coaching staff has been very impressed with Seth Steele, a basketball player who came out for the football squad this season.

against Anderson on Aug. 15. Dreyer enters his sixth year as head of the Western Brown football program, and returning to the coaching staff as the defensive coordinator is former head football coach of Western Brown, Don Sizer, who headed the Batavia High School football program last season. “This year’s team has a new style and new attitude,” said Dreyer. “This is a dedicated group of kids. We do have our entire offensive line back, so we’re really excited about that as well.” Repeating as SBAAC American Division champions will be quite a challenge for the Broncos, as they face a grueling league schedule that includes New Richmond, Amelia, and Norwood. But this year’s Broncos are far from overwhelmed with pressure, working towards improvement one day at a time. “We don’t really feel like there is any pressure. I’m looking forward to it,” Nuhn said about his chance to lead the Broncos as a senior captain in the upcoming season. After four years of football at Western Brown, Wilson is excited to get the chance to take the lead as one of the captains on this year’s team. “It’s a pretty good feeling (to get the opportunity to lead as a team captain),” said Wilson. “It’s one of the dreams you have as a varsity player, and it finally came true.” Although many things have changed from last season, a new group of senior leaders and new members added to the coaching staff, their team goals remain the same. “Our main goals are the same as always, to go 10-0 and make the playoffs,” said Young. The Broncos kick off their 2014 campaign on Aug. 29, as they play host to the Hillsboro Indians. 0

weeks of practice, and the Friday night lights are ready to shine. Expectations are certainly high in the Western Brown community with the Broncos coming off a 2013 season that brought them a 10-0 record and the football program’s first ever state playoff game with home field advantage, but Western Brown’s six-year varsity football coach, Evan Dreyer, and his crew are not reflecting on the past. For them, the beginning of the new season marks the time to move forward with a new group of players and some new additions to the coaching staff. “Last year was last year. This is a brand new team, a brand new season, brand new kids, and a brand new coaching staff,” said Dreyer. “We want to have fun and create havoc on offense and defense. We’re not reflecting on what we accomplished last season. Instead, we’re looking at what’s ahead. Our expectations are to improve every game.”

“(Steele) had been playing receiver, but we moved him to inside linebacker,” Corrill said. “He’s 6’3”, 190. He gets to the football fast. He flies around and we’ve really like what he’s been able to do.” Plus, given the potency of the Bulldogs’ offense and Corrill’s offensive background, he’s been encouraged by what he’s seen. The coaches are also depending on the discipline and maturity of the senior class to lead the Bulldogs to the level they attained two years ago when they won a playoff game and reached the regional semifinal. “The senior class were sophomores on that group and a bunch of them played and played pivotal roles,” Corrill said. “The juniors were freshmen, so they expect that level of success and have seen it and the younger guys were successful in (middle school), so expectation-wise, we want to win a league championship and we seem to think that we’re a playoff team.” Batavia will open the season against East Clinton and get into league play on Oct. 3 versus Clermont Northeastern.

Tigers return to their roots, will run Wing-T offense BY CHRIS CHANEY Sun staff
Bethel-Tate is heading back to their Southern Buckeye Conference roots this season, reincorporating the Wing-T offense that so many of their league rivals have shelved in recent years. “We’re going to run the Wing-T and we’re going to do a little (out of the) shotgun,” head coach Bill Jenike said. “We’re going to go back to a 50 defense and use multiple fronts, so we’ve changed both offense and defense (from last season).” In a league that historically was dominated by the misdirection running attack, more and more teams are graduating from the upthe-gut running style to a more aerial offense. A year after installing a zoneread pistol offense to accentuate the skill set of a strong senior class, Jenike, in his third year at the helm of the Tigers, is similarly

After going down with an injury last season, Haave returns for his last go-round as the running back in the multifaceted run game. “(Haave) is a returning starter, a three year player,” Jenike said. “He gives us a lot of options com-

Wildcats incorporating new goals for 2014 BY CHRIS CHANEY Sun staff

With great success comes goal reassessment. Such is the case for the Williamsburg Wildcats who, after winning the Southern Buckeye Conference’s National Division and earning a Division IV playoff berth in 2013, begin 2014 with a new set of accomplishments in mind. “Expectations for us had to be raised,” Williamsburg head coach

Scott Lefker said. “The first thing we did was change our goals. Our goals always had been to win the league and make the playoffs. We’ve changed that statement to win the league and win in the playoffs.” The Wildcats will be working towards their newly set goals with a strong core returning from the team that brought Williamsburg their first home playoff game in 33 years. Despite losing their do-everything quarterback, Lane Edmisten, Burg is looking to expand the roles of multiple players to make up for, and potentially surpass, the output Edmisten accounted for last year. “We’ve lost some good players and we’ve got to replace them, but we have a really good nucleus,” Lefker said. “So far, in our two scrimmages, we’ve been able to get the ball into five different guys’ hands for positive yardage, which we’ve never been able to do that.”
Leading the new order is returning First Team All-SBC performer Mason Hall. Hall rushed for more than 1,400 yards last season and will take over the lion’s share of the offense from Edimisten. Replacing the signal caller will be another First Team selection in Jared Spurlock. Spurlock was the Wildcats top receiving threat last year, but he has adapted well to the new role, Lefker said. Senior Austin Horn was competing for the starting QB job as well, but has
been set back with some early injuries. Up front, the Wildcats are replacing four outgoing seniors on the offensive line, but Lefker says those guys filling in the vacant spots are bigger than their predecessors, making Williamsburg’s front five the biggest they’ve been during Lefker’s time at the school. Spencer Clowery, Kurt Meisberger and Evan Barge are splitting out wide and will look to get more touches than ever before
with a diversified offense. On the other side of the ball, Williamsburg’s receiving corps flips around and defends the pass in the secondary. The Wildcats run a 4-4 defense, but perhaps in name only, Lefker said. “We may not look like a 4-4 sometimes, but we go after it,” he said. “Sometimes, we may have five or six or seven guys at the line of scrimmage or seven in the backfield, we might be blitzing two or
their hay. Despite coming off of a 1-9 season last year, Jenike said he’s been encouraged by what he’s seen in the preseason. “We’ve had the kids in the weight room and who have gotten pretty strong,” he said. “The guys have played as freshman who have some experience now and some other good skill players that will help us. “I think we’re going to have a good season.” Jenike and his staff had to scramble to get that season started on time when Oyler canceled their Week One matchup. Instead of making the relatively short trip to play the Madhatters, Bethel will make the nearly two-hour bus ride up to Springfield. From there, the schedule gets a little closer to home, but not much easier as the Tigers will face off with the big school division of the SBC, the American, in four straight games before beginning their National Division campaign Week Seven when they travel to Clermont Northeastern.
The Williamsburg senior class had a memorable run during their junior year, but they want to reach and surpass the first-round threshold they achieved. A more diversified offense will get more guys involved in the passing and running game.

Rockets creating competitive, fun environment BY CHRIS CHANEY Sun staff
A tumultuous offseason for the Clermont Northeastern football program has steadied and allowed the Rockets to put in enough work to make first-year head coach Scott Gildea excited about the prospects of the 2014 season. Gaining school board approval on April 21, Gildea has only been on the CNE scene for a few months, but the former Cincinnati College Prep Academy head man has had nothing but positive experiences since landing his new job. “My time has been great here,” Gildea said. “Everybody has been awesome. The players have taken to our offensive philosophies, defensive philosophies and our overall program philosophies. The administration has been great and given me everything I think I need to be successful. I have a very knowledgeable staff, so we’re excited about the season.” Gildea and his staff are bringing in a spread offense that interestingly enough will be focused around a wide receiver. Trey Amann was the Rockets’ signal caller last year under Jason Conley, but Gildea has put Amann

on the outside where he can not only make plays on the offensive end, but also contribute a little more defensively. “We’re building things around Trey,” Gildea said. “He’s got some of the best hands out here. He’s very good when he has the ball in his hands at making guys miss and making things happen.” Despite two costly injuries to players on the offensive line — Donald Hahn and Tyler Cole — Gildea said that the next man up mentality has manifested itself among the backups. Shawn Lykins, a sophomore, will be handling the quarterbacking duties for CNE. “Shawn’s done a great job. He’s

underclassman QB is senior running back Dalton Miracle. Miracle is a natural zone runner, Gildea said, and he allows for a bevy of different packages to be run by the Rockets’ offense.
On the defensive side of things, Gildea is incorporating a 4-2-5. The coach said that in moving some people out of their old positions, they are allowing for a more versatile defensive strategy.

New Richmond fans are looking to take the next step as a program. Notching a 9-1 record last season, the Lions matched the best season they have had in the last five seasons. However, a three-point loss to Western Brown last September cost the Lions a SBC title and a playoff berth. That next step is front and center on the minds of the Lions this year as New Richmond tries to make their first trip to the postseason since 2009. The Lions will start their season with a game at Indian Hill and some SBC-National Division opponents before playing Amelia on Oct. 3. The big rematch of last year’s loss to Western Brown is slated for the following week, Oct. 10.

New Richmond seeking first playoff berth since 2009 BY CHRIS CHANEY Sun staff
O D D P A G E S
New Richmond’s strategy this year is already well known in league circles and head coach Josh Stratton isn’t overly concerned about keeping it a secret. “We have a huge offensive line,” he said. “We average 270 (pounds) up front, which has got to be the biggest line in (Division) III besides, maybe, Trotwood (Madison).” Combine the “big uglies,” as Stratton lovingly refers to them, with Tyler Anderson, a First Team All-Southern Buckeye Conference selection last year who ran for more than 1,000 yards and 18 touchdowns, and you have a pretty good idea of what the Lions are going to try to do offensively. However, if you’re planning to concentrate solely on the running game — and good luck pushing around that line — Stratton has installed a more diverse passing game that hinges upon a pair of big wide receivers: Austin Torrens and Isiah Young. One question that does linger around the Lions is who is going to be calling the signals. Stratton said that he has two QBs in mind, but wanted to hold off on calling

either one the starter. Gage Kramer, a sophomore, is coming up through the ranks after an impressive season last year leading the JV. Standing between him and the job, however, is a senior transfer from Glen Este, T Jay Burbage. Burbage is taking some time to get acclimated to the new system, but Stratton said he has the athleticism to take the position to a different level. Defensively, the New Richmond linebackers are young and unproven, but they have the luxury of playing their first varsity snaps with a security blanket full of seniors behind them in the secondary. Jimmy Snider is a college-level talent, Stratton says, and Miles
The New Richmond offensive line averages 270 pounds across the board and will be a difficult matchup for most of their opponents this year. Head coach Josh Stratton wants to use his “big uglies” to spring senior Tyler Anderson. If the defense tries to shut down the run, the Lions will pass.
Burnam is likely the best cornerback in the league in his coach’s opinion. Derek Gelter will take over the strong safety position. “(Our secondary) is extremely mature and understands what to do
and where to be,” Stratton said. “That helps with the young backers that we have. Our linebackers are small, but they’re fast. Out of the seven guys we’re rotating in, only one is a senior and he played
mostly offense last year.” Patrick Richardson holds down the defensive line as a four-technique guy lining up over the offensive tackle. Strong on both sides of the ball,

Luke Newton, a sophomore linebacker, put in a lot of work in the offseason and will be the team’s primary run stopper. Logan Fishback will run alongside Newton, getting back into the mix after an injury sidelined him last year. Gildea said he and his team have used the preseason as an incorporation period to understand the nuanced changes that they are trying to make from season’s past when CNE has run slight variations of what they will this year. A big help in that department comes from the newfound commitment that the players have shown. “The commitment has been great,” Gildea said. “I’ve been told that this is the most committed the guys have been since the early 2000s, so we don’t have guys missing practice. They’re all here and they want to be here. “That’s what we want to do — create an environment that’s fun for them, so they look forward to coming to practice.” Clermont Northeastern opens the season with an away game at Fayetteville on Aug. 29. The Rockets will play their first divisional game on Oct. 3 when they travel to Batavia.

Experienced Trojans hope to take the next step BY CHRIS CHANEY Sun staff
After four consecutive seasons finishing under .500, the 2013 Glen Este Trojans matched their wins and losses and look to continue that climb up the wins column and the Eastern Cincinnati Conference. A 4-2 mark in the second edition of the newly-formed conference
was a improvement on Year One, but to challenge the top brass in the league, head coach Nick Ayers said his team will have to play its own brand of football. “We’re going to have a good football team,” Ayers said. “With that and in our conference, we’re really excited about this year. Every team (in the ECC) is going to be improved from last year and it’s going to be up to who can ride

The Glen Este seniors are 13 deep and hungry to make a name for themselves in the pantheon of Trojan football. Coming off of a 5-5 season in 2013, Glen Este is looking to compete for an ECC crown behind four upperclassmen captains.
some momentum. “Withrow coming into the league makes it even more competitive. They win eight, nine, 10 games a year, get to the playoffs and always have talented teams. “We just want to compete every day and instill that in our kids. We think we’re going to overcome (some injuries) and be ready to go Week One.” A talented mix of upperclassmen will lead the Trojans’ charge this year headed up by four captains. Senior wide receiver and defensive back Peyton Burdick will play both ways for GE, while Matthew Kennedy will head up the defense at linebacker. Junior co-captains Tyler Pilcher and Clayton McCune will be the offensive leaders. A standout sophomore campaign from Pilcher has Ayers expecting more big things from his quarterback. “He threw for 1,600 yards and he’s put on 15 pounds, he’s gotten another inch or two taller and improved his arm strength,” Ayers said. “He’s taking the younger receivers he’s got and doing everything he can to make this another successful year. I think

he’s going to do that and more. I’m excited for him.” Aside from the four guys who will wear a captain’s “C” on their chest, Ayers was quick to point out Zach Vespie, a senior defensive end, as someone who turned heads amongst the Glen Este coaching staff. “I would say that he’s biggest surprise of our preseason,” Ayers said. “He has had the best camp I’ve ever seen. If you take Tyler Burdick from last year or Victor Cave (from two years ago), (Vespie) has been unbelievably good.” With strong weapons on both sides of the ball, Ayers believes
that his guys can take the next step to contend with the Loveland’s and the Kings’ of the ECC. First things first, however, the Trojans have an opening night date with their West Clermont School District rivals, Amelia. The Trojans have had their way with the Barons over the past two decades, but that doesn’t mean that Glen Este is discounting the first opponent of the season. “Every year you reload and restructure and there’s going to be a time that they can knock us off and they have the ability to do it,” Ayers said. “They have big receivers, a senior quarterback and some good linemen that I’ve (seen on tape). “They’re going to be hungry and ready to play. We have to get after it. There’s no gimmes in football.” Following the opener at Amelia, the Trojans will travel four hours north to face off with traditional power Steubenville. Their ECC opener will be a prime time event when GE travels to Loveland on Thursday, Sept. 8 for a game that will be broadcast around the state on Fox Sports Ohio.

A large returning senior class headlines the 14 returning starters from the 2013 Eagles’ offense and defense. Head coach Shane Elkin believes that he has one of the most talented squads in the recent memory at Milford and as such, the team will sneak up on some competition that would otherwise write them off.
think people out in the city are going to see that Milford isn’t the old Milford that everyone’s used to.” Part of the reason that Elkin is so bullish with his predictions is the sheer number of returning difference makers that Milford will run out on the field on Friday nights. “We have nine returning starters on defense and five returning starters on offense,” Elkin explained. “The biggest thing with our offense is that all of our skill kids are back, except for one who started last year. “In terms of our balance offensively, I feel like we’ve got a really good group of athletes. Since I’ve been here at Milford, and before I was head coach, (this year’s unit) is the most balance I’ve seen out of our skill groups.” Senior quarterback Drew Ashcraft will lead the returning offensive starters. Having to recover from a broken collarbone in the offseason, Ashcraft was able to pair his rehabilitation with film study, making him more aware of the sets, checks and mistakes that he and his teammates would make that otherwise wouldn’t have been dissected. Jack Young will handle the halfback duties for Milford and Elkin is expecting the senior to have a big season. David DiSilvestro will split out wide for the Eagles and Elkin labeled him as the most

On the other side of the ball, Elkin pointed to Tucker Houston as the quarterback of the defense. The senior linebacker has shown flashes in the preseason of what Elkin hopes will prove to be a stout defensive unit. To that point, Elkin has taken on the defensive line himself, which he called “a treat to coach.” Domininck Hathaway, Connor McCracken and Jalen Phillips are the cornerstones of the D-Line that Elkin believes can be one of the best in the conference. As for sizing up the conference, Elkin’s philosophy is that you’re only as good as what you’ve accomplished. As such, he places his team at the bottom of the league table until they prove oth-

Rockets set scopes on first playoff berth BY WADE LINVILLE Brown County Press
The Fayetteville-Perry Rockets hit the gridiron in search of another successful season after finishing their 2013 campaign with an impressive 8-2 overall record. The Rockets return their most experienced crew of players in the high school program’s sixth year of existence, and taking the wheel to lead them on their 2014 campaign is a new head coach. Following the resignation of last year’s head coach Nathan Greers, Kevin Finch has taken over as the new Rockets’ head coach. This marks Finch’s first season as a high school coach, but he is certainly no stranger to the gridiron. Finch’s most recent coaching job was as the offensive coordinator for Franklin County in Indiana. He also has experience as an assistant football coach at Kettering Fairmount and Goshen schools. Finch brings a new style of play
to the Fayetteville-Perry High School football program, and Rocket fans can expect some changes this year when they venture to the stadium to see their favorite high school football team take on rival Clermont Northeastern in the season opener in just a couple of weeks. Among the list of goals for the upcoming season is a playoff berth, which last year’s Rockets fell just shy of with a ninth place
finish in Ohio’s final Division VI, Region 22 rankings for 2013. “We definitely want to be the first football team from Fayetteville to make the (state) playoffs, but that isn’t our only goal,” said Finch. “The players have set their own goal of representing the community in the best way possible, and to make their community proud. I thought that was an excellent goal, and it says a lot about this group of kids.” With the loss of key players to graduation, this year’s Rockets will rely heavily on some young
talent. This year’s Rocket roster includes seven seniors - Justin Hart (FB), Aaron Allessi, Zach Bailey, Wes Iles, Jaxmanni Salas, Logan Stewart, and Logan Wilson. This year’s Rockets are also equipped with six skilled juniors – Noah Bailey, starting quarterback Tim Crone, Caleb Dowers, Austin Miller, Jacob Williams, and Eli Wolfer. The future certainly looks bright for the Rockets with the bulk of this year’s varsity team being sophomores and freshmen, some
who will gain a great deal of varsity experience this season. The Rockets’ success this season will depend highly on how quickly they get used to Finch’s new system. “My system is new to them, so it will obviously take some time,” said Finch. “We are working on becoming a ‘no huddle’ team.” Backed by confidence and the desire to succeed, expect hard play out of the Rockets in their 2014 campaign. “It will be exciting. We’re looking forward to it,” said Finch.

New coach hoping things click before start of the season BY CHRIS CHANEY Sun staff
O D D P A G E S
A new era has dawned at Goshen High School as longtime staple Mark Slagle has retired, giving up the reigns of the football program to Ryan George. A product of Tell City High School, George’s last stop before Goshen was at his alma mater as the athletic director and football coach. Now, new to the school and the area, George and his team are working to continue the winning culture that the Warriors have established. As tends to be the case with a new coach and system, the integration has had its share of hiccups, but George said he and his staff are working through them in hopes of putting a solid product on the field in 2014. “We’ve had a couple of scrimmages and it’s been a little slow going,” he said. “I talked to the coaches after the first one and they told me that only three of these guys have varsity experience from last year, so we’re a young team.” George is depending on his 10 seniors to lead the way and continue to work hard to learn the new schemes that he has brought in. “We’re starting to pick it up and each time out, we’re getting bet-

ter,” George said. “We’re waiting for it all to click in. The kids are working hard and learning and we believe that we’re going to get there.” Heading up those seniors are returning starting offensive lineman Hunter Hines and wide receiver and safety, Jiles Munafo. Munafo missed the entire season last year with a broken leg. “Jiles is a kid who has some speed and can cover some ground,” George said. “Coming off last season, he doesn’t have that experience, but maturity-wise, he’s there.” At the quarterback position, George said that the Warriors are still looking for to solidify a number one, but the fact that he has multiple guys vying for the posi-

tion is a good thing. On the defensive side of the ball, Hines flips around and acts as the most impactful lineman that Goshen has. The linebacking corps is in the same situation as the QB; namely, the Warriors are going by committee for the time being. Jason Young, a junior, is the lone mainstay among the backers, but he will look to his side and see different faces in the early season until some of his teammates solidify themselves as consistent performers. Even with the fluid situations at multiple positions, George said
that the biggest key for Goshen this season won’t be physical. “Our big thing is that we have to get mentally tougher,” George said. “That’s just the bottom line. Our kids know that. We show them mistakes on film and they won’t realize it when they’re out there, but when they see it, they know. “They’re starting to see the things, but we’re running out of time before the season starts.” The Warriors will begin their first season under George with a road game at Ross on Aug. 29. The 1-3 mark in the Southern Buckeye Conference that Goshen
put up last season left them in fourth place behind Western Brown, New Richmond and Norwood. They’ll be able to begin to climb up the table by playing Norwood, who finished one spot ahead of them, on Oct. 3.

David DiSilvestro will split out wide for the Eagles and Elkin labeled him as the most

improved player in the preseason. DiSilvestro will be flanked by junior Ben Greenwell who was a Second Team All-Star as a sophomore.

Every team (in the ECC) is going to be improved from last year and it’s going to be up to who can ride

some momentum.

Wildcats incorporating new goals for 2014 BY CHRIS CHANEY Sun staff
O D D P A G E S

“He gives us a lot of options com-

weeks of practice, and the Friday night lights are ready to shine.
Western Brown seniors are geared up and ready to hit the gridiron for the 2014 season. Front row, from left, are Pedro Diaz, Logan Nuhn, Josh Young, Cody Wilson, Nick Osborne, Chaz Patten, and Chris Turner; back row, Christian Dawson, Nakoa Phillips, Justice Kreimer, Tyler Votel, and Anthony Howard.

“As usual, (Glen Este) is pretty

good,” Hospelhorn said. “We’re going to try to give them the best game that we can give them, like we always do, but they’re a good football team. “That night anything can hap-
