Chatfield College is pleased to introduce James Ludwig as the new Director of Development. He will supervise and manage Chatfield’s development effort, including the annual campaign, capital campaign, corporate and individual giving, foundation and corporate grants, planned giving and the alumni association. Ludwig has more than 18 years of development experience, most recently with Mount Notre Dame High School in Cincinnati, where he successfully led a capital campaign that resulted in new athletic facilities for the all-girl Catholic high school.
“I am very excited about joining the Chatfield College family and hope to help make a lasting positive impact for our students and our community,” says Ludwig. Ludwig currently resides in Loveland with his wife Debbie and their two rescue dogs Brandi and Cobi, and are members of St. Columbian parish. When not at Chatfield, his hobbies include traveling, coaching soccer, cycling, and spending time with his family. Ludwig is a graduate of Flagler College in St Augustine, Florida and also of University of North Florida where he earned his MPA.

Debbie Pfeffer of Aberdeen was the winner of the Best Red Hat at the Wild Red Hats of Ripley June's meeting held at Moyer Vineyards Winery Restaurant in Manchester, Oh. This month's meeting was held at the Rambling Rose Tea Room at West Union. This 1930 house/ restaurant is a Sears Roebuck House, built by Dr. Ellenson, the original owner. The Pregnancy Resource Center, A Place of Hope, was privileged to host Senior Students of Hudson High School from Hudson, Oh. This is one of the places they chose to volunteer their services for their Appalachian Service Trip. According to replies from previous students and their instructor Lani Banner, this trip has proven to be a lifechanging experience for all who participated. The students have shown themselves to be hard-working and ready for whatever task has been set before them. The students that visited and worked at A Place of Hope sorted baby clothing and bundled diapers. The Appalachian Service Trip serves as an opportunity, for those students who qualify, to get a look at a side of life they probably would not otherwise see in their own community. The testimonies given by the students are filled with comments telling about tasks they never thought they could perform, and their wonder at being able to complete it.
