The Adams Brown Head Start Program is looking for individuals who enjoy working with children and their families and who have a friendly and positive attitude. Each position requires maintaining confidentiality, attending all required trainings, completing all required paperwork and duties in compliance with the Federal Performance Standards and Licensing agencies. All applicants must have a valid Ohio Driver’s License and must be insurable under ABCEOI’s fleet insurance policy and pass Criminal Record Checks and a drug screen.
• Lead Teacher (Brown County) - Duties include: designing activities to provide children with the opportunity to learn socially, emotionally, intellectually and physically; they must have the ability to supervise; and have good verbal and written communication skills. Qualifications: Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development or closely related field, with one to two years of experience in pre-school childcare preferred.
• Cook’s Aide (Adams County) - Duties include: assisting cook in making family style meals and snacks for children, parents and employees of the Head Start Program, buying weekly supplies in a cost effective manner, keeping accurate records and accounts, stocking shelves and maintaining a clean and orderly kitchen. Qualifications include: High school diploma or GED and experience cooking for small groups
• Bus Monitor/Teacher’s Aide - (Brown County) Duties include: assisting the Head Start Teacher in the classroom, riding on the Head Start busette and helping children in and out of their safety seats or restraints. Qualifications include: CDA or Associates Degree within one year of hire. Must have CDL-School Bus/Passenger endorsement or obtain within two years. Training provided.
