BODEGA DE LA COFRADÍA BROTHERHOOD WINERY: For the first time, now there is a winery in Mendoza that specializes in designer wines The concept is to offer oenologists, winemakers, and lovers and enthusiasts of wine a framework that is totally dedicated to the aging and safekeeping of small quantities of wine under the best, most scientific conditions, as well as offer the spectrum of specific services that a true winemaker requires. Guaranteeing the confidentiality in the processes, marketing management and product development, we provide optimal techniques and sales support to create the best product The concept is that the client feels like the “Owner” of an entire winery structure that is intended for and devoted to providing solutions to the daily challenges presented by the winemaking process. Aging and storage are offered in four different forms:
:: Cement
tanks with capacity for 3,500 liters, 6,000, 10,000; 15,000;
20,000; 30,000; 40,000; up to 50,000 liters, equipped with doors, overhead lids, and stainless steel valves;
:: Stainless steel tanks of 2,500 to 15,000 liters; :: Wooden barrels; and :: Bottles with or without a label. The winery has its own laboratory and a team of oenologists and agricultural engineers to implement the proper aging and storage conditions. The humidity and temperature are controlled according to the requirements of the different types of juice. Each user may take care of his own section with his own oenologist or have confidence in the care offered by our own technical team. Among the support services for each client, Bodega de la Cofradia has created a TASTING AND CONFERENCE ROOM, and we will also have a MULTIMEDIA EVENTS SALON, A SHOP FOR SALES OF DESIGNER WINES AND A SMALL RESTAURANT—and soon, The Inn of the COFRADÍA, where we will enjoy a park, recreation areas, a swimming pool and pavilion for informal meals and barbeques, good wine and unforgettable Mendoza nights.

:: Oenological Laboratory: The principal function of our laboratory is control of the samples and the regular review of the chemical and bacteriological status of each section of wine. It includes high-technology equipment for chromatographic analysis and a sample base for each client, as well as a digital spectrophotometer. Technical Team: You may choose to have your own oenologist and specify your own conditions for care in addition to our technical advice; or simply choose to follow our guidelines according to the characteristics of the wine you want to obtain. Based on our experience, we can accompany you in every decision and change you make.
:: Bottling Service: With proper coordination, we can bottle your wine, putting all of the supplies you need at your disposition.
:: Label Design: Through a design studio linked to our business, we offer complete design and communication services.
:: Provision of Supplies: We put our clients in touch with the main providers for the industry, who offer attractive discounts for purchase of bottles, corks, capsules, as well as stabilizers and reagents.
:: Search for Parcels of Grapes: Our technical team can search for the selection of grapes at the time of the harvest, based on the style of the wine you want to produce, and coordinating and controlling the timing and form of the proper harvest; and also encounter that variety you have always searched for that has not been available in small parcels.
:: Labeling and Packaging: Labeling and placing the bottles in boxes. Delivery service to a destination: The work of labeling and boxing in the appropriate boxes, as well as in the proper storage until delivery, can be contracted with bodega personnel. This requires precise coordination and timing, which you may work out with our commercial team.
:: Wine Sales: The Bodega has a sales team that will choose among the best wines that are ready to drink and to age, and will offer this selection through gourmet sales channels, trade fairs and other international markets.
:: General Information Services: Through newsletters, we will offer our clients current information on the market for wine as well as links to the information sources. We will also arrange periodic meetings and workshops on wine and the common situations we can confront.
:: Support of Ecotourism: We can help arrange ecotourism and adventure tourism in the Cuyo region, suggesting the best arrangements and alternatives for the enjoyment and relaxation that offer a respite from work.
Hiking, rafting, horseback riding in
the mountains, hang gliding, fly fishing, wine-tasting classes, and regional cooking classes—and much more.
CAPACITY FOR AGING WINES BODEGA DE LA COFRADĂ?A is especially devoted to implementing and controlling wine aging and storage. The first stage of the project was completed in December,2009 and since that time we have been adding new space and new services.
Cement tanks: From 3,500 to 50,000 liters. Each tank has been newly reconditioned, with epoxy walls, lids, doors and stainless steel valves, which offer 100% security for the storage of your wine
Stainless steel tanks: On the first floor of the bodega there is a storage area specifically dedicated to aging in stainless steel tanks. The tanks have various capacities from 5,000 to 15,000 liters, for fermentation, as well as for aging. The tanks and their fittings meet the highest standards of quality and security, and each one is equipped with pipes that allow for adjusting the temperature
Wooden barrels: On the basement level of the Bodega there is a storage area for barrels, especially air-conditioned, with controls of temperature and humidity, controlled access for security, special lighting and a table for wine tastings. To avoid problems with contamination by other users, we only allow use of new barrels. Between the main storage area and additional spaces, we have room for 1,000 barrels.
Bottles: This service offers the producer the comfort of storing bottles under the proper temperature and light conditions. We have a special storage area with a refrigerated chamber with temperature and humidity controls. The bottles will be placed in metallic bins, with individual locks, stacked according to the instructions of each client. We can store 450,000 bottles.
Security measures: For your peace of mind we have installed several security measures, from the traditional numbered sections to security cameras with constant monitoring and remote access. We also have sensors that monitor temperature of the juice and a system of periodic analyses in our own laboratories. All of these measures are to offer you peace of mind in entrusting your wine to us. We will install an external security system to allow each client to monitor his wine via Internet.

Bottling line made up of a rinser, 10-valve bottle filler, and automatic bottle capper with a vacuum generator. It works with positive pressure 13. Labelling line 14. Warehouse for climate-controlled storage of bottles. It includes a mediumtemperature chamber, constructed with a high-density polyethylene nucleus (20kq/m3) in a 50mm thick lining of coated galvanized steel on both sides. ARCHITECTURE HISTORICAL REVIEW: The complex of the BODEGA DE LA COFRADÍA is an old winery from 1914, with 3.5 hectares of land, an owner’s residence, garden and swimming pool, all built in the style of that period, with the premise of quality and duration through time. The bodega was designed with rectangular modules allowing for additions as growth required, using materials that provide great thermal isolation and underground chambers to maintain the wines at stable temperatures. The winery’s ceilings are very high, with wooden and cane trusses. Currently the winery building is optimally preserved overall, and due to the small size of the fermentation and aging tanks, it is perfectly suited to a project for reserve, premium and ultrapremium wines. It has free space for stainless steel tanks, barrels and bottle aging in the cellar. The operating capacity, without enlarging, is 4 million litters per year. The design and versatility of the building, interior as well as exterior, are perfectly adapted to applying new and modern technologies to the production of wines.

SPACE ESPACIO COFRAD�A offers support services for the work of every winemaker and the aging process of every client’s wine
:: Small restaurant and cafe/bar: This space, which historically was the dry storage area, will be the location of this important meeting point. We will devote this space to designing wine pairings with a menu of dishes intended to highlight the best characteristics of our wines. Here you will be able to complete business agreements in a relaxed atmosphere, with your wines, arranging a menu as if in your own home. We will only serve wines from the bodega and of the highest quality from our province.
:: Tasting and Sales Room: This room, inside the bodega, is equipped with armchairs, a table for wine-tasting by 12 persons, a selection of wine glasses, computer, television, video, refrigerator and wine-tasting accessories. Among other things, you will be able to use this space for business meetings,
making commercial agreements, and tasting your
wine with your oenologists
:: Multimedia Events Room: In a room next to the Bodega, we will adapt a large space that previously served for bottling, to create a multi-use room. There will be many ways to use space, appropriate for presentations and events, trade fairs and wine industry conferences, specialized tasting workshops, and training courses on topics related to the challenges of making wine.
:: Designer Wines Retail Sales Shop: Devoted to the sale of designer wines, especially those from our winery, and to accessories such as decanters, corkscrews, thermometers, books, magazines related to the wine industry, wine glasses and clothing. A line of design objects especially created by our marketing team will be distributed from this sales space. In this area we will also sell wines made in the Bodega by our clients according to their tastes, as well as in exclusive locations in the local market and through exclusive distributors for export.
:: Small Inn of the COFRADĂ?A Located in a park adjacent to the of the bodega, devoted to offering services to winery clients and their own members will be a small, very private, inn. With eight suites of varying capacities, the inn will be an attractive alternative to insure rest and relaxation. The inn will be in a park with trees, places to rest and have a good conversation, swimming pool, solarium, cocktail bar, exterior rest rooms and a pavilion. This very private area will have housekeeping and breakfast service and will have available information for participating in adventure tourism (hiking, rafting, horseback riding in the mountains, fly fishing, hang gliding, among others), as well as tasting courses and courses in regional cuisine, among others.
LOCATION BODEGA DE LA COFRADÍA is located on a property of slightly more than three hectares, at Alta Italia Street 682, at the corner of Rawson, in the department of Maipú in the province of Mendoza. This region is known as the “First Section of Viticulture” (grape growing) for the quality of the terroir for cultivation of the grapevine.
