ROCK FAMILY OF COMPANIES
Since Chairman Dan Gilbert acquired the Cavaliers franchise, the Rock Family of Companies (FOC) has made and continues to make strong and impactful investments in key civic initiatives in downtown Cleveland and throughout the region. Most recently, Bedrock Detroit, the real estate arm of the FOC, completed a massive renovation of the historic May Co. Building, which transformed the former iconic shopping destination into one of the premier residential and mixed-use spaces located in the heart of downtown Cleveland. Additional investments include the re-purposing of the Avenue Shops at Tower City to City Block, renovation of Ritz Carlton, restoration of the historic Higbee Building, expansion of Quicken Loans and several other critical real estate acquisitions. Rocket Mortgage plans to expand their current operation in downtown Cleveland and add 700 jobs by the end of 2024. This will add $52.5 million in payroll every year, generating more than $1.31 million a year for the City of Cleveland in income taxes.

FIGHTING BLIGHT Dan Gilbert and our Family of Companies continue to work hard in the fight against blight. In 2013, Dan was appointed co-chair of the Blight Removal Taskforce by the Obama Administration. The Taskforce led an effort to provide resources and leadership toward increasing data access regarding blight, advocating for Hardest Hit Funds, and bringing partners together to address blight in our communities, including in Cleveland and Cuyahoga County. This deep commitment is ongoing, and the Cavaliers, together with the FOC, continue to contribute to several impactful local programs that provide significant support in the fight against blight.

ROCKET MORTGAGE FIELDHOUSE TRANSFORMATION
Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse re-opened in September 2019 after a massive two-year renovation that completely transformed the nearly 26-year-old venue into a world-class, modernized community showplace. The project touched nearly every area and aspect of the venue – making it bigger, better, more competitive and wellpositioned to continue to secure major national and international events that deliver a powerful economic impact for Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, the neighborhoods and the entire region. Coupled with new innovative design features and cutting-edge technology, the significant expansion of event space throughout the FieldHouse has positioned the venue as one of the best and most attractive in the country and a must-play destination for big-name concert tours, attractions, conventions and large-scale events that our community marketers compete for.
