Cleveland State captured its third Horizon League Tournament Title during the 2022-23 campaign, earning its third appearance in the NCAA Tournament. During the season, the Vikings set a program record with 30 wins – including a program-best 16-game win streak. In addition, the Vikings set single-season records for total points, free throws made, total rebounds, rebounding margin, and blocked shots.

For their efforts throughout the year, Destiny Leo was named the #HLWBB Player of the Year, Deja Williams was named the #HLWBB Sixth Player of the Year, while the Vikings had an additional trio of All-League members in Brittni Moore, Amele Ngwafang and Jordana Reisma, with Leo also earning All-Academic accolades.
