Spinning Top

Materials:

• CleverPatch™ Cover Paper – White – A4

Pack of 250 – 16142 • Wooden Skewers – Pack of 100 – 10014 • Faber-Castell Classic Colour Pencils – Pack of 72 17630 • CleverPatch™ Glue Stick – 40g – 13974 • Bright Round Wooden Beads – 250g Pack – 16619 • Student Scissors – Pack of 20 – 10897 • CleverPatch™ Glue Gun – Low Melt – 11208 • CleverPatch™ Glue Gun Glue Sticks – Clear – Pack of 12 11209 • Other materials required: Template (page 9)

1. Print the template on page 9 onto cover paper. Decorate using whatever materials you like. We have chosen to use coloured pencils. Allow to dry if needed.

4. Use a CleverPatch™ Glue Stick to add glue to each of the 6 tabs. Attach each tab to the opposite inside piece.

7. Using a Glue Gun, attach a coloured wooden bead to the base of the spinning top, leaving the point of the skewer showing. Adult supervision is recommended when using a glue gun. 2. Cut along the bold grey lines and to the grey star. Adult supervision is recommended when using scissors.

5. Hold in place and allow to dry.

8. Glue another coloured wooden bead to the top of the spinning top to hold it in place. This will also help it spin. Allow to dry. 3. Fold along all of the light grey lines.

6. Carefully pierce the centre of the spinning top with a skewer. Push the skewer through the bottom so that it is protruding 1cm.

9. Your spinning top is now ready to gift to someone special on Father’s Day!
