“I want to suck your blood!” Give your friends a good scare this Halloween with your very own pop-up Dracula!

1.Protect your work area with a splash mat or scrap paper. Decorate the wooden storage box using paint and glitter. Allow to dry and finish decorating with Halloween stickers.

4.Place the Dracula template with the printed side face down. Lay the straw with rubber band on top of the template as shown and use sticky tape to hold in place. Attach the small rectangle piece of template at the bottom of the straw as shown. 2.Print the template (pg 10) onto cardboard then cut out. Adult supervision is recommended when using scissors. Decorate with markers on both sides, then fold along the dotted lines.

5.Once the straw is in place, fold the template up and secure together with tape as shown. Use a marker to push the rubber band down inside the template so it just peeks out the bottom. 3.Cut 8cm from a straw. Take the longer piece and cut 2 small slits opposite each other into the top as shown. Slide a rubber band through the slits so it is held in the straw.

6.Turn the box over and press 2 tacks into the wood at the end of the box where you slide the lid on. You want them to be approx. 1.5cm apart and 1cm in from the end of the box. If you’re struggling to push them through, use a hammer to tap them in. Adult supervision is recommended.

7. Flip the box back over and lay Dracula inside. Press the white piece of template at the end of the straw onto the tacks to hold it in place. Pull the rubber band down and loop it around both tacks, using your thumb to hold Dracula flat. 8.Place a large piece of Blu-Tack over the rubber band and tacks to hold everything in place. When you let go of Dracula you will see he now sits up! 9.Slide the lid of the box in place to make Dracula lie back down. As you slide the lid open, Dracula will sit up in his box for the perfect Halloween surprise!
