Oceanorium of Eastern Indonesia
ARCHITECTURE SCHOOL FINAL PROJECT

Location : Manado City BuildingType : Oceanorium Area : 7.700 m 2
Oceanorium of Eastern Indonesia is a building that serve as the centre of marine life and coral reef preservation, especialy in the Coral Triangle Area in East Indoneisa and New Guinea. Due to the issue of major marine pollution and illegal fishing in the area, Oceanorium of Eastern Indonesia is here to preserve the last remaining patch of marine life in the Coral Triangle Area.
Oceanorium of Eastern Indonesia is designed with a technological and social approach as a sanctuary to an endangered marine species including coral reef and a centre of education for the people of Eastern Indonesia.
DESIGN PROCESS
The site geometry is a irregular square with the shortest side facing the highway. Mass placement starts from defining a certain functions according to the zone, namely public to private.
The arrangement of the building mass is based on the existing pedestrian path and 3 roads that outlined the site. The circulation of visitors and their vehicles are defined in a form of 3 entrances, namely on the north, south and west sides.

Each building mass is realized by adjusting it to the capacity ratio. The main mass, The Oceanorium, is placed at the centre of the cluster as a response to the primacy of its function.
The mass of the building was rearranged so that the main function was placed above, therefore there is a clear hierarchy between masses. The podium masses is made open to all three directions of the road for a maximum accessibility.

Eastern Indonesia Oceanorium as a centre for education and preservation of coral reef ecosystems, as well as a new landmark, especially in the Boulevard II development area of Manado City.
The ground floor of the Eastern Indonesia Oceanorium building is a public area where pedestrians can pass by the lower floor of the building without the need of a ticket for the Oceanorium.
BUILDING IMPACT
Building responds to the panoramic view of the city and nodes that make up the aesthetics of the city itself, such as Mount Tumpa and Manado Bay by providing an Observation Deck on the upper level.

Bandung Creative Politechnic is a complex of education facilites in Bandung City. As of today, individualism within educational body are slowly increasing and the wall beetween lecturer and student are getting higher and higher. Therfore creating an imperfect flow of knowledge. Due to those issue, this buildinng are meant to tear down those boundaries and ensuring seamlessness of knowledge flow as well as a healthy socual relationsip beetween student and teachers
Bandung Creative Politechnic is designed with social and educational approach towards students and teacher on their social interaction. The building is made to interconect with each other to create an inclusive community within.
DESIGN PROCESS 02. 01.

The arrangement of the building mass is based on the existing pedestrian path and 3 roads that outlined the site. First, The administrative facilities are placed at the front of the cluster as a response to the massive look it gives towards the street.

The Workshop are placed below it in response to the terrain changes. This ease the access of heavier load vehicle. It also implies the supportive value of the facility to the education as a whole.
The mass then arranged so that the main facility which is the classroom and studio are placed at the top therefore defining a hierarchy of importance.

Floating Arena
ARCHITECTURE SCHOOL 5 TH SEMESTER PROJECT
Location : Bandung City BuildingType : Sport Facility Area : 7.800 m 2
Floating Arena is a sport complex that serve as regional centre for sport facility and public space for local community.The complex itself are build as a response to local needs for a public space that accomodate a sport facility. This sport complex is envisioned as a host on regional to national sporting event
Floating Arena Sport Facility is designed with cultural and social approach as a nodes for social activities withing the local community. Incorporating an elevated design lift up the mood of the area, thus create an enjoyable atmosphere.
DESIGN PROCESS
The site has a irregular shape, by following “Contra-harmonic” rules, choosing a rectangle as a base form and placing it in the middle of the site create a sense of mass and importance.
The mass are splited into 2 main zones, which is The Arena and tribune seating. The Arena and tribune seatting are splited in order to re-route the circulation of each function

The top of the mass are expanded to accomodate the supporting facilities and provide a large circulation area for the guest / visitor. It also give an impression of airiniess, thus floating above ground.
To accomodate many type of sport, such as Badminton, Volleyball, and Basketball a vault is added to ensure the smoothness of the game and improve air circulation inside the building.

DESIGN COMPETITION UAJY ARCHITECTURE STUDENT ASSOCIATION
Location : North Jakarta Building Type : Community Centre Area : 5.500 m 2
Oceans are an important in a maritime country like Indonesia; safety, cleanliness and balance are both crucial to the wellness of the people around it. The phenomenon of the city being threatened by the sea itself are solely caused by the constant pulling ground waterover decades. Due to the issue of pulling ground water and the sinking of the city itself, The main function of the building is to provide fresh water from the sea through desalination process for the local community.
The building itself is designed arround a local fiherman community and this building building main function is a water desalination plant. Aside from those , this building also provide a berths and area for local bussiness .

DESIGN PROCESS
The site geometry is a simple rectangle with the shortest side facing towards the sea. The mass of the building start from a box that placed on both land and sea. This implies the connection to the sea itself.
The mass then are splited into 2 separate masses with its own function. M1 served as a water desalination plant which is the main function of this building, and M2 served as a berths for small to medium fishing boats.
M1 have an extruded and tapered looks toward the top of the building to exert importance of the function it accomodate. M2 are designed with an elevated look to accomodate the berths below and a multi-function room above.
Lastly, the mass are reconected with a simple bridge that extend outwards toward both side to respond on the vast view the building are surrounded with. The building itself are covered with a maritime-like material like fish net and fiber-glass panel as a facade.

The building are designed to effectively support water need within 1 km radius of Muara Angke region. It is a nodes for the comunity and an important facility that sustain life arrounds it.
The ground floor of the this building is a berths for the boats and circulation area where pedestrians can pass by the lower floor of the building to fetch fresh water right from the desalination plant.
BUILDING IMPACT
Building has a panoramic view of the city skyline and the sea it faced as a celebration of the ocean as a source of life for the community from the Observation Deck on both side of the extended bridge.
