t’s no secret that gift store customers are typically female, and retailers tend to stock their stores to appeal to women. From candles to fashion accessories to luxury bath products, it’s pretty easy to know what women want. A quick glance on social media platforms, such as
Pinterest, will give retailers all the inspiration they need to start ordering. But should gift stores ignore roughly half of the population? Men enjoy products too, don’t they? Of course they do. While you walk around the market, it’s hard not to notice all the items available with a

The bath and body product category covers women’s needs extensively, but with the trend of men’s facial hair continuing to grow, vendors are able to tap into a demographic that was once overlooked. We like to use the term visual speed bump,� DeGoey explained. “This will give the consumer a chance to interact with the product that will increase sell-through rate.� Social media is a cheap and easy way to reach customers and encourage engagement. Barr said, “Instagram is a great vehicle for reaching the women buying the gifts for guys. Start today! Be consistent! Be fun! Post engaging content! And reach out to your vendors for content. Clara, for example, was exploited by past employers, forcing her to leave her children to fend for themselves while she worked seven days a week. children alone when her husband died in 2012. She struggled to provide for her family and attempted suicide. She learned of Daughters of Hope from her sister-in-law, and it has changed her life.
