Superb pressure relief that works through the night

The process of creating each Dunlopillo Talalay latex mattress or pillow is far from simple. We start by collecting natural latex in its pure form from mature rubber trees. As the name of the tree suggests, this latex is the core ingredient of rubber, but we take it on a very complex journey to create something perfectly designed to help you sleep in comfort.

The XSENSOR® Full Body Pressure Mapping system has been used to measure the success of Dunlopillo Talalay latex in relieving pressure. XSENSOR features 10,000 sensors that measure pressure between body and mattress. These results show the extent to which Dunlopillo Talalay latex creates minimal pressure across your body as a crucial ingredient in ensuring the best sleep possible.

The process begins with careful blending to produce a mixture that is the basis of Dunlopillo Talalay latex. The next stage is freezing the latex in a mould to temperatures of -30°C, adding a gas and then heating it to 115°C to cure and set the mixture. Thorough washing and drying ensures that all proteins and impurities are removed. This is followed by individual testing of each block to check that it meets the required specifications for density and comfort. Only then is it ready for finishing into a mattress or pillow ready to take its place in your bedroom. Each Dunlopillo Talalay latex mattress and pillow is made individually to suit the particular range that it is part of.

This is achieved from a combination of our regular 100% Dunlopillo Talalay latex with an additional layer specially developed to store and then slowly release heat as your body’s core temperature lowers. Completing the package is the mattress’s soft woven cover for improved air circulation and reduced humidity build-up. These are our most advanced pillows, combining the temperature control properties of the Harmonize range with a washable TempSmart™ cover. This removable cover adjusts to fluctuations in your body temperature to keep you at your ideal temperature through the night.

In each of these pillows, the latex core is manufactured from solid Harmonize latex that stores and then slowly releases your body heat to maintain an even temperature through the night. Sprung slatted timber bases Across our TempSmart™, Harmonize and Classic ranges, you have the option of an additional comfort layer beneath the mattress, but with more firmness than the pocket sprung bases. You can also adjust the lumbar region slats to fine-tune the level of firmness to suit you.

Even more flexibility All of our double divans are split head to foot which means they can be used as twin beds when purchased as zip and link mattresses, either permanently or perhaps temporarily if you are accommodating guests. They also feature high quality nickelplated castors that are both stylish and that provide excellent manoeuvrability. Each base also gives you the option of integral drawers, with the TempSmart™ range featuring especially robust solid ply drawers, topped with a beech laminate for an impressive finishing touch.
