About THE ACADEMY All tutors are current and experts in their specific fields and also offer many opportunities for work experience to any students who excel. You only have to speak to any of our previous students to get a feel for what we are about and be satisfied in the knowledge that we want each and every student who leaves to be as successful as they possibly can.
CLMA launched in 2010 as a vibrant and new approach to learning and since then has gone from strength to strength. Here at the academy we have a genuine passion for teaching people the art of Make Up and ensure that students leave the best they can be and fully equipped with all the skills they need to be a successful Make Up Artist. The courses are filled with fun, fashion and have a feel good factor that leaves every student wanting the course to go on and on.
In the heart of the northern quarter, we are the North Wests leading fashion Make Up School and encourage anyone with a passion for Make Up to come and see how CLMA can give you a real head start.
We teach in a studio environment to give our students as much real life experience of how the industry works, as possible.

About Cassie Lomas I am super passionate about maintaining an extremely high end course, taught in a friendly working environment and ultimately creating high end make up artists who will go on to be a huge success and an inspiration to all future students.
I have been working as a Make Up Artists for over 15 years and it has always been my dream to open up a Make Up school. Founding CLMA in my hometown of Manchester is just incredible and I am now able to give something back to help others who are as excited and passionate about their career as I once was, and still am today.
I am happy to say the talent that has left us so far has meant that already we are widely known for achieving this.
My aim with the academy is to bring a breath of fresh air to the way that make up artists are trained in the north west and step up the standard to ensure that we are the best.
If it’s your dream to become a Make Up Artist then hopefully we can help you turn this into a reality, come and look around soon and I hope to be teaching you in the future.
Love Cassie x

Academy Kits Within your makeup kit is a professional set of Cassie Lomas brushes and a range of the best current products Cassie has chosen. The kits vary from course to course to keep up to date with the latest launches.
As an artist, your tools are a personal part of your own growth and success so we encourage you to build up your kit to your personal taste. We want you to spend money on products you will use and so we choose a substantial kit which can get you started and then allow you to try all of our products to see what you like working with before you decide how to expand your kit further.
In the short workshops we ask that you bring your usual make up kit so we can advise how best to expand it and what products and tools you should look to buy or how to best utilise what you already have if you are already up to date.
Exploring all the ranges available yourself is the best way to learn and make your own decisions as to how to spend your money wisely.
For Airbrushing and Body Painting, kits may be purchased at an additional cost.

Events TEam The hardest thing about leaving any college is that you are on your own to make it in your chosen career. Here at the academy, we put a lot of time and effort into trying to help our students once they have qualified. It is not part of the course for us to find work experience, however we try and make this a priority for those students who excel as we know how important and how difficult a journey it can be on your own. Cassie has first hand experience at how hard it can be to get yourself established and so ensures that her students don’t have to struggle as much as she once did; she actually really cares whether or not you succeed. Our events team consists of all ex-students for a year and sometimes longer after they have graduated. The Cassie Lomas Bridal Agency also offers opportunities and work to ex-students once they have completed their training. Jobs we have done so far include: London Fashion Week, the British Soap Awards, numerous music videos, films and commercials and countless celebrity clients. Students with great feedback from clients and who show a great deal of passion and commitment are ultimately rewarded with the best jobs.
