Club USA Nursery/Kid’s Club Rules and Activities

1) HOURS: Summer (June 1st – Sep. 31st): Mon. – Thurs. Friday Saturday Sunday Fall, Winter, Spring (Oct. 1st – May 31st):

2 ½ hours maximum in one day. Anyone checking children out past our closing times will be charged $1.00 per minute until the children are picked up. Parents must stay inside of Club USA while children are in the Kid’s Club/Nursery. Only the person(s) listed on the log-


in sheet will be allowed to pick-up the child(ren). The person who drops the child(ren) off need to inform a Kid’s Club/Nursery staff member if someone else is picking the child(ren) up. 4) AGES:

Children 8 weeks old and up are welcome. There is no age Limit.

5) RATIOS:

We try and maintain 6 infants to 1 nursery staff member. For walking children, we try to maintain a 12 to 1 ratio of Kid’s Club staff members.

6) PROTECTION:

No one other than Club USA’s employees are allowed into the Nursery (see exclusions).

INFANTS 1) DIAPER CHANGING:

We will change diapers after one hour if parents provide us with diapers. All staff members are required to use gloves.

2) BOTTLE FEEDINGS:

We do not bottle feed children. Children may bring in sippy cups and bottles if they can hold it themselves.

3) EQUIPMENT:

We have cribs, swings, bouncer seats, saucer seats, a walker and also a stationary jumperoo all enclosed by a 3 foot carpeted wall, separating the infants from the other children. We will take children in training every half hour. If accidents occur, children must have spare clothes or we will contact the parent. We do not force children to use the potty.

To reduce choking hazards, we ask that you remove jewelry, barrettes and any beading.

CHECK IN & OUT INFORMATION 1) COMPUTER SYSTEM:

Parents must scan their child or children in and out with a staff member.

2) SCAN CARDS:

Are issued at the front desk.

3) CUBBIES:

Numbered cubbies are located inside of the Kid’s Club and Nursery. Please give your diaper bag and any other of your children’s belongings to a staff member.

4) NAME TAGS:

Parents are responsible for making all name tags for their children, bottles, sippy cups and any other belongings.

5) VIDEO MONITORS:

We have monitors located in the women’s locker room and in


the weight room for parents to view their children. For safety reasons, parents are not allowed in the Kid’s Club/Nursery.

ACTIVITIES 1) ACTIVITIES:

We have a schedule of activities posted at the check in counter. We will be painting, using stamps, face painting, using parachute games, scooter games, relay races, charades, story time, circle time, nursery rhymes, crafts and other games.

2) TOYS:

Children may bring in toys from home, but please ask staff members if they are acceptable toys or games. Coins and possible choking hazards are not allowed. We are not responsible for any lost or broken toys.

FOOD & BEVERAGES 1) SNACK POLICY:

We provide goldfish, pretzels, cheerios, graham crackers, Ritz, crackers, popcorn, Cheez Its, animal crackers, among other peanut free snacks. *Popcorn is only for children 2 and older.

2) SNACK TIMES:

Monday-Friday 9:30am, 10:30am, 1:30pm, 2:30pm, 3:30pm, 4:30pm, and 6:30pm Saturday & Sunday 9:30am, 10:30am, 11:30am, 12:30pm

3) CUBBIES:

Parents are allowed to bring food in for their children. We have cubbies, a microwave and a fridge if needed. Children in highchairs must be able to feed themselves. ALL FOOD BROUGHT INTO THE KID’S CLUB/NURSERY MUST BE PEANUT FREE!!

CLEANING Cleaning is done in the Kid’s Club/Nursery 2 times per day. Changing tables, highchairs and all tables are cleaned after Each use.

KIDS CLUB/NURSERY ACTIVITIES Story Time: Every Story Time brings a new book to life. Come and join us for an adventure and don’t forget to bring your imagination.

Snack Time: Snack is given out every hour, from 9:30 am-6:30 pm with the exception of 8:30 am, 11:30 am,12:30 pm & 7:30 pm.

Fruit Loops

We occasionally have a special snack. Please let a staff member know of any allergies your child(ren) may have.

Craft Time We introduce a new craft each day corresponding to that particular weeks theme (i.e. Kiddie Academy, Spirit Week, Summer of Fun).

Circle Time  Painting with watercolors using brushes, stamps, and sponges  Using the chalkboard  Using musical instruments to form a band  Playing various games including; Leap Frog, Bowling, Pin the Tail, Relay Races, Tick Tac Toe, Bean Bag Toss & Simon Says.  Making necklaces out of noodles and fruit loops, increasing hand and eye coordination Craft Time: We introduce a new craft each day corresponding to that particular week’s theme (i.e. the letter A-Z, Movie Week, etc.) We gather all the children for developmental learning time in which we introduce numbers, shapes, letters, and colors. We sing children’s songs and also talk about upcoming holidays, calendar awareness, weather and current events.

Dance & Exercise: This is a wonderful way to let children of all ages release a little bit of their extra energy. (i.e. freeze dance, stretching, flash card jumping jack game)

Parachute Time: We are all very excited about our parachute! It’s a great way to enhance your childs team work skills. This is definitely a favorite of both the children and the staff!
