Based on the well-loved picture book by Judith Kerr, the Olivier Award nominated show The Tiger Who Came to Tea returns to the West End for Summer. The doorbell rings just as Sophie and her mummy are sitting down to tea. Who could it possibly be? What they certainly don’t expect to see at the door is a big, stripy tiger! Join the tea-guzzling tiger in this delightful family show; packed with oodles of magic, sing-a-long songs and clumsy chaos.
Came To Tea The Tiger Who Out Dine
Archipelago
Dare your kids to try crickets, crocodile and python as part of the unusual menu at Archipelago, which describes itself as a “portal to world cuisine” – one of the most fun restaurants in London, it’s sure to create an experience to brag about to their friends. Situated on a quiet Fitzrovia side street, Archipelago is one of London’s most exotic and unusual dining destinations. This restaurant promises to take diners on an uncharted culinary journey where signature meals of seared zebra, kangaroo fillet and African crocodile bites are offered alongside more conventional dishes.
Poppie’s Fish & Chips
Let the kids soak up 1950s vibes as they’re transported back to a bygone era at Poppie’s Fish and Chips’ shops. Cod, fishcakes and sausage all feature on the menu, or they can opt for haddock, scampi and even jellied eels (now there’s one for adventurous kids) from the main options. Find Poppies in Spitalfields, Camden and Soho.
Dance, sing, and learn with Blippi and special guest Meekah as they discover what makes different cities unique and special. There will be monster trucks, excavators, and garbage trucks galore so kids can shake those wiggles out and OJ Twist their way through this musical party.

LIFE-SIZED DINOSAURS MEET 50
24 July – 10 August
Grovelands Park
Tickets from £11.50
Summer in London isn’t summer in London without some sort of massive dinosaurbased experience to satisfy your little ones’ alarmingly intense prehistoric-lizard needs. Jurassic Encounter is this year’s offering, and will bring a veritable mesozoic menagerie to north London, with 50 lifesized animatronic dinos on display, ranging from the obvious – T.rex, duh – to the downright obscure: lufengosaurus, anybody? We’re also promised VR, ride-on dinosaurs and that classic playground staple, the fossil sandpit. But really this is about giving your sprogs IRL dinosaur content for an hour or two, for which they’ll probably be modestly grateful.
